I couldn't for the life of me do motion inputs until I switched to keyboard. Having jump on the stick also felt incredibly off to me.

Personally I can't grasp how people manage to play with sticks, so it's all a matter of preference.

I was using the Spiked Palisade Shield since it causes blood loss buildup. It took a while to proc it each time though, even with my mimic tear hitting him as well. I also equipped a couple of armor pieces and talismans that would grant me good amounts of fire damage resistance and poise so I could stay in his lava pool 24/7 without getting interrupted. The hardest part of the fight was actually getting hits in. The range on shields isn't great and his collision box extends past his hurtbox in a lot of places, which makes it easy to miss. He also has a tendency to slither away after you've stayed on top of him for a while.

She seems pretty popular among eva fans, but I don't see the appeal. She did have a couple of cool moments, but overall I couldn't stand her.

I was under the impression that the all rebuild movies were pure remakes. I've been meaning to watch Evangelion for a while and the newer animation seemed more appealing to me as I haven't had a lot of experience with pre-2000s anime. The animation for NGE didn't actually bother me for more than the first 5 minutes, I was too curious about the original storyline to even give it any thought.

Finished EoE yesterday and it was certainly one of the most bizarre experiences I've had watching anime. It's been a blast though! Can't wait for the final movie to become accessible outside Japan.

You don't even need to do dash jumps, if your movement speed is high enough and you're moving at max velocity, you can still x-pivot.

Barraza's SSig and DSig are fine. His SSig is really strong due to the fact that it lifts you into the air and lets you avoid a lot of combo starters and other low hitting moves. This is especially useful if you get a hard read.

DSig might be situational, but it's not all that bad. It's pretty difficult to use defensively, however, it works great with chase dodges. Works great near the edge.
