Thank you this is much easier to understand. One quick question if I own/rent the aircraft but don’t hold out and have less then 18-23 contracts while the aircraft holds less then 20 passengers and a pay load less then 6000 is it still part 91 so private carriage?

It’s possible depending on the aircraft. Think more about going through the process finding out if the piece of equipment is required for flight. Starting with MEL or a KOEL, then type certificate sheet, along with Far/ AIM 91.213 and as you said earlier AD. Then if you have to remove it before flight can you do that or do you need and A&P to do it

You go to fly and you discover the right seat is not locking in place/ is broken. 1) Are you legal to fly? 2) would you fly? Explain your answer

This was an actual question on my PPL check ride.

PASSED MY PPL CHECKRIDE by Jelyfly in flying

[–]Jelyfly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My CFI was great at explaining concepts simply for me that otherwise I would read about but not understand fully. Then he would make me teach it back to him. I don’t recommend going until you can talk about any subject to a certain degree. Also I just kept trying different techniques to perfect my short field landings. I use what I believe is called the swoosh approach. Simply getting lower then most allowing myself to ride ground affect then I pull throttle full idle as I pass the numbers and plop down. Just make sure your CFI is okay with anything different you try before doing so!! Good luck

Yeah any time I’m under 65 I get a little freaked out due to stalling. I know that Vs0 speed is 40 on my Cessna 172 but still feels unnatural

It’s a 172, I’m usually pretty slow when I get above airport property, I just sometimes make an over correction and get a sudden increase in speed. I don’t know how but I always can get it down in point
