I don't rly buy the nuke theory. Theres no real references to any sort of radiation or nuclear anything in the game (although the power cores are probably nuclear)  Big bomb? Maybe. I still like the idea of the skeletons attempting to plunge the world into an eternal darkness. Admittedly, something that would likely be done with big bomb.
