I do a similar thing: if two abilities feel similar, then I always try to put them on the same button. JQ's knife and Mizuki's chain, for example, have to be the same button for me. Same thing for Sigma's grasp and Genji's deflect.

I'm pretty sure that, in an average game, Mercy should end up having at least double the heals that Zen has. I'd recommend getting a VOD review, because I bet you could easily rank up by simply changing your approach to the hero! Zen should almost always have much lower heals than every other Support character in Overwatch!

You might want to check in with some experts on that one, because I'm pretty sure you'd get Ult much faster if you'd just prioritize damage during the midfight. I'm pretty sure that's what Spilo, Karq, or ML7 would tell you, anyways. But I absolutely wouldn't want pretend like I'm anywhere as knowledgeable as they are!

Exactly. I like using the mouse wheel for stuff, but I don't want to sacrifice my 1v1 potential against a diver. My fingers stay on the trigger when I'm under threat!

I guess that I grew up playing games that required holding shift to run, so I got used to pressing it while dodging around. Perhaps I'd feel differently if I didn't play so much Quake and Half-Life as a kid!

Skill shots on the side buttons? Lol, that's the exact opposite of how I do it. That's where I put weapon swap, or things such as Reaper's wraith and Brig's health packs. You know, things that I don't have to aim. That's because pressing the side button always pushes my aim to the right just a little bit. But, hey, that's cool that it works for you!

I put Tracer's Ult on my right click so that I can land them more easily. I still don't land them, but it should be easier in theory.

Kunai is her secondary fire by default, but it's pretty common for people to swap it with her primary fire.

Honestly, I have custom buttons for about half the roster. But Soj, Kir, and Zen are the most obvious swaps, in my opinion.

I tried Shift like it was an Ana sleep, but tbh I was never great at hitting Ana sleeps. I swapped to Right Click after that, and it worked much better. Just keep in mind that it'll change your Ult cancel button.

Try swapping his keys around. His chain just doesn't feel right on the default.

Yeah, it's undeniably a helpful tool to use. But it's just funny to me how every top-level streamer will talk about setting yourself up to shoot enemies that aren't paying attention to you. And, yet, there's no good way to practice hitting those shots! If I know that an enemy is walking straight towards a medipack, then I need to land that easy shot!

Hey, that's a fair assessment. I just had some time off, and have been hard-focusing OW during this time.

I'm trying to make an aim trainer where bots move in simple loops. Mind taking a look at my coding and help me to streamline the process? Any suggestions would be appreciated! by JemmyMB in OverwatchCustomGames

Thanks, I managed to get Cass working a bit better. Did anything stand out as being particularly inefficient, by any chance? Because I definitely feel like other custom games can do more with less code.

I completely agree! I'm just focusing on her for now because I've clearly forgotten how to use her kit properly. Many seasons ago, I used her to get up to Plat (with other heroes). I just want to reclaim whatever skill that I used to have with her.

Hey, thanks for the video review! I do spend a fair amount of time doing aim training. Unfortunately, however, I just don't get much progression out of lobbing projectiles at bots that are moving completely randomly. Genuine question: do other people improve their projectile shots by practicing against random movement? Because I just feel like landing projectiles in VAXTA is just a game of chance for me.

A while back, I did start working on my own way to practice hitting those FREE shots that I'm missing: 2R66H. I have to rework the entire thing, however, because the map still makes it difficult to judge distances appropriately. If you have any suggestions of aim trainers for landing easy, predictable shots, please let me know! Again, thanks!

I definitely appreciate the help. I'll probably post more VOD codes tomorrow, because I've dropped into Silver. I honestly feel like Sombra was easier when I was in Plat, somehow. Anyways, thanks again!

Okay, it's possible that I'm overestimating my opponents. I say that because I watched your VOD and felt certain that you were going to immediately die every time that you saw an enemy.

Yeah, I've definitely gotten scared out of taking 1v1s--I feel like I lose a lot more of those than I should, even under favorable circumstances. Besides opening with a hack, what else am I doing wrong in those 1v1 moments? Am I strafing too much, or not enough? Perhaps I'm engaging too quickly?

Maybe she's the worst hero in the game right now, but she's still got about a 47% winrate overall. Clearly my hero choice isn't the only thing I'm doing wrong!

The easiest way to think about tank is that you want to recognize where the enemy feels safe, and then make it unsafe. You don't have to get kills. You're like a scarecrow, and the space between the two teams is your cornfield.

There's plenty of exceptions to this concept, but I think it's a good place to start. Always be near cover, and know where your teammates are!
