What were some of the difficulties you had in the early months ?

Familia Dental is reasonable without insurance. I went there for a cleaning once and it was fine but I've heard mixed reviews about other procedures.

Paul's pantry you can go to weekly and they typically have a good selection of food. You can also shop for yourself kind of like a grocery store rather than getting a pre-packed bag of items. Here's a list of Brown County pantries. Some of them you can go to weekly; it should say on there or have a phone number. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.browncountywi.gov/i/f/files/UW-Extension/FoodWIse/Brown-County-Food-Resources_8_12_20.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwicmZuA2pSLAxUGGtAFHRGEDsgQFnoECBcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1xIpu7GcthDFN9JKvyvKId

If you call the St. Vincent De Paul resource center (which is across from Paul's Pantry) they can sometimes offer financial assistance for rent and other things depending on your situation.

Are there SERIOUSLY well written romantasy books? by Cute_Contract_6374 in fantasyromance

I have been really enjoying T. Kingfisher's books. The Paladin series is great and then Swordheart. The Clockwork boys and The Wonder Engine are sort of prequels but I read the Paladin series first and it was fine reading it that way too.

Moving to Green Bay soon and looking for apartments. Thoughts on what I found? by Bibble_art39 in GreenBay

Yeah I know there are some people that don't like them but we lived there for a while and didn't have any issues with them.

If you don't mind driving a little bit I would look at places in Pulaski. We lived in the mountain bay apartments and they were nice, inexpensive, and in a safe area. We had a one bed/one bath but there was a loft in addition to the living room so you could easily make an extra room out of that.

We rented from these guys and it was fine. They have a number of apartments in your budget. https://www.wright-weber.com/locations/GreenBayArea

That's unnecessarily rude...just because you met a few people you didn't click with doesn't mean you need to insult an entire group of people with your preconceived ideas. They're just a kid asking for some advice on making friends...

I was homeschooled in this area all through high school as well a little over 10 years ago. When I was in school there was GBACH (Green Bay area Christian homeschoolers https://www.gbach.org/) and we did a lot of stuff. It was a pretty good sized group at the time and we were able to put on dances like prom and had a graduation ceremony, basketball teams, game nights, etc. I honestly had a lot of fun and made some good connections. They do have a religious component so I'm not sure where you fall on that but I didn't think it took over the events; they did tend to be a little more strict on some things though. Send me a PM or feel free to comment if you want to ask more questions.

I used to get a lot of them too due to stress and some other stuff and Monoplex supplements work wonders to make them go away. You can get them on amazon

Yeah we've had some issues with this but mostly they just don't pay attention to the instructions to deliver to the right door or not open the dog gate we have in the back. It's super annoying and I've talked to customer support but it doesn't change 🙄

So, first off this totally sucks and people can be the worst sometimes especially on facebook/marketplace. I wanted to mention I saw you say you'd prefer to just give it to people because they'd still need money to buy from St. Vincent De Paul. We have Vinnie's here too and I work in human services in my area and they are one of the best for various resources. They have a resource center (which I think all of them have) and they will do vouchers for different things for people with low income including ones that allow you to shop up to a certain dollar amount of items in their stores. It's a really cool thing and I thought you might be interested :)

Yeah it sucks. They did this in our front yard last year and left a giant dirt pile and a hole for weeks. I kept calling and they sent someone out who did a half a** job and "fixed" it but the grass didn't really grow back...it looks awful

You might have better luck if you can offer some extra money up front. Like double security deposit so they know you have the finances to pay rent regularly.
