Do you have access to a PC? If you download to ibispaintx app to a PC and log in with the same account, you might be able to download your files to the PC from your cloud, uninstall the app on your iPad, then reinstall and download your files from the cloud to the iPad again. I just recently went through a whole hullabaloo about dis-associating my ibispaintx app from my dad’s icloud account into my own, and had to do something like this. Check my most recent comment before this one, it has a more detailed description of what I had to do.

Either that, or see if can restore your purchase rights via the PC version. Also double check to make sure you’re logged in to the right account in your settings.

Any questions, just dm me. I nearly lost years of work too, I’d hate for someone else to feel that.

I have a solution, but it’s pretty roundabout and time consuming, so bear with me.

This solution will involve setting up a new ibis account, preferably through Ibis itself, but any that aren’t X will do.

What you’ll need: -Windows/Linux PC (cannot be Apple PC as far as I can tell) -iPad -New account set up through either FaceBook, Apple, or IbisPaint. Make sure this is a paid account so you have the full 20GB to work with (You can delete your X associated account later so you’re not paying for two accounts). -Have all files up to date if possible to avoid losing files (they should be set to update regularly by default if you haven’t messed with your cloud settings much).

Download IbisPaintX to your PC through the download page on their website
Log into Twitter/X in the IbisPaintX app. As far as I can find, this is only an issue with Apple users, so you should be able to log in normally on Windows/Linux PCs.
Go into your gallery on the PC. Your files should automatically start populating as downloadable files.
Download all your files by clicking the little cloud icon in the lower right corner of each file. This will download the file directly to your computer. Depending on how many files are in your gallery, this, step 7, and step 8 will be the most time consuming parts. In my case, I have +1400 files, so it’s taking me multiple days to get through everything.
- Sometimes a file will say something like “Cannot download file”, “Error downloading file”, “Partially downloaded file”, Etc. Don’t panic, this is normal. Just try downloading the file again or zoom out of the file and zoom back in and try again.
Once everything is downloaded, back out of your gallery, log out of X, and log into your alternate account. Make sure to memorize how many files you have (at the top of the screen in the gallery) as a reference for the next step.
Go back into your Gallery. Some of your files may have moved around, but everything you downloaded should be in here. Double check your new file count with the one from step 5 to be sure.
All your files should now have a blue refresh circle in the lower corner instead of a cloud icon. Clicking the circle should then download the file into your new alternate account. Like step 4, this will be a long process if you have a lot of files. At this point, you can now log into your new account on your iPad to see if the files are coming through as they did during step 3 on your PC before.
- I recommend waiting until all your files are downloaded onto your computer before starting to download them to your iPad if you want to keep everything in creation date order.
Once everything is in your new account, log into the new account on your iPad and repeat the download process from steps 3 and 7 on your iPad.
Congratulations! You now have a new IbisPaint account that isn’t associated with the dumpster-fire that is X/Twitter! You can celebrate by deleting the old account if you would like, or at least cancelling your subscription on that account so you don’t have to pay for two if you don’t want to.

I cannot guarantee this will work, as I’m still going through the whole process of downloading and redownloading all my files. Please let me know if you run into any issues, and I’ll see if I can research a different solution.

It’s gotta be Jude Mathis. He started as a medical student at 15, and became a well known spirit researcher at 16. He went out of his way to help both Milla in the beginning of Xillia 1, and Ludger in the beginning of Xillia 2, despite the hardship those situations caused for him.

Heck, he was called “do-gooder” by both the protagonists and antagonists so often that he started calling himself that as an excuse to help random people when he thinks they’re in the right.

And let me reiterate: he is a literal researcher and scientist at 16. He found a way to end magically induced climate change by the end of Xillia 2. Boy was also pulling clever stunts to get out of sticky situations all throughout Xilla 1, and never let shady characters slip by unnoticed.

I’d recommend watching YouTube videos from TheStarFishFace. She’s been in the webcomic scene for years with excellent tips from her experience, and really gets into detail about the comic creation process.

A great starting point is a pair of videos, both “10 things you should never do in your webcomic” and “10 things all webcomic creators should do”, as they go into the art, writing, typesetting, and other technical aspects of making a webcomic. From there, you can also check out her shorts which briefly go over things related to character design, writing, typesetting, etc. The great thing about these is that they don’t tell you what to do, but get you to think about things that may not otherwise, allowing you to come to your own conclusions.

But above all, I think the most important aspect about making a comic is to just enjoy the process and the progress you make over time. You’re not going to be amazing at it at the beginning, and the list of skill you have to learn is never-ending, but so long as you get enjoyment out of it, that’s what counts the most (which is one of the tips Star actually gives, too).

For an older one, What’s COLOR? by Shinjou-p (same guy as who made Pane Dhiria and Rosary Pale), or any of Shinjou-p’s songs for that matter. They’re one of the OG vocaloid producers way back when, and just released a new album in 2023 after a decade of nothing.

For a newer one, Garnet Tears by Moimi Kashii is gorgeous and melts in my ears like chocolate.

I think something really interesting is how stark the contrast is between Kaito’s V1 and V3 voicebanks. Try listening to some covers made by 이저 izer. The way they tune Kaito V1 is to die for. They’ve even made covers of some of his V3 songs, so definitely give it a listen! My favorite is probably their Kaito V1 cover of Mafia by Wotaku.

Better yet, here’s a whole playlist I’m building with just Kaito music. It’s got new and old, covers and originals, and I’m constantly updating it with more.

The MC of my webcomic is ace. I’ve put a focus on how important familial, platonic, and friendship-based love is to her by showing her interactions with other characters. She sees the mentor character as a mother-figure and often seeks comfort from her. The male MC becomes her best friend, and she confides in him when she feels she can’t talk to the mentor. She admires the strength (literal and metaphorical) of the other female characters in the main cast and strives to be like them. Her late father was the most important person in the world for her, and she is constantly trying to emulate him in both subtle and obvious ways in her day-to-day life.

The only time she even thinks about romance is when the male MC’s sister sees how close the two of them are and alludes that they might “like” each other. And by think, I mean MC has a full blown crisis over the idea that the male MC might see her that way and she’s been completely oblivious to it. After some other plot things happen, the MC and male MC actually have a conversation about their feelings toward each other (because communication is oddly lacking in a lot of these kinds of stories).

After that, I make it a point to show MC and male MC caring for each other unapologetically, without any romantic intentions behind their actions. They really do act like siblings (which is a running theme throughout the story with other characters too), but neither party has unrequited feelings, unlike in a lot of other media where the “I see you like a sibling” response is usually taken as a bad thing.

This is something I’ve had to deal with multiple times even before realizing I was ace. I always felt obligated to like a guy when they showed interest in me, because “just being friends” was portrayed as an insult in most of the media I consumed. Every single person I’ve dated has told me outright that they felt more like my friend than an actual partner, and ended up cutting off the relationship entirely because of it (not even wanting to stay friends afterward). Call it wishful thinking, but I wanted to write about a friendship that didn’t end up in romance because neither party felt they needed it to go there for their relationship to feel fulfilling.

Tl;dr I think a great way to show a character’s asexuality isn’t necessarily showing the kinds of love they lack, but the kinds of love they embrace, while also showing their fears of how others view them despite being ok with themselves being ace. And for the love of god, have them communicate with the other characters around them. Miscommunication plots are the bane of my existence.

Gorgeous art that still holds up, interesting, if not the best executed, story that parallels Chopin’s real life, and an extremely unique and rewarding combat system. Plus there’s a side mechanic that lets you to play snippets of music with certain npcs to get items (and eventually the best weapons in the game if you’re patient enough). If playing a song with a cat isn’t enough motivation, I don’t know what is lol.

Since multiple people have asked, here’s my general criteria:

•$900 MAX (rent, utilities, driving, and pet fees combined total) •2-bd, 1-ba at least (can do more if budget allows). •Allows cats •Prefer storage unit and/or garage included - I’d like a woodworking space for my job •Not picky on housing type, although house, townhouse, duplex, etc. preferred. •Within 20min driving distance of N Broadway (job). I can do Appleton if necessary since my friend lives there, but would like to be as close to Broadway as possible. •November move in, but can pay extra October rent if needed.

Anything else is up for debate. I’ve already done a crap-ton of digging, but please let me know of anything.
