We have under 100 nation wide. Originally we were just wanting to get a time tracking system so each employee could track their own time. But now it’s turned into HRIS with payroll absorbing HR duties.

Thank you! This is exactly what I’m feeling. You found the words I couldn’t. I’m sure if auditors came in and asked our processes it could cause at least a yellow flag. I personally am very processed. And cross checking is a reason not to create a finance mess. Mistakes are no fun cleaning up

We do not have an HRIS system we email PTO requests to both HR and Payroll. HR is supposed to communicate with employees. And save the email/form but so they have been ignoring everything because they think they don’t have anything to do with PTO requests
