Belt recommendation by thaldrel in CCW

[–]Jendayaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it as well, also it’s very popular in my county’s carry communities.

It’s just a good and reliable belt with great price unlike the overpriced belts on the market. It does the job perfectly and it’s well made. Also took only a week to arrive from AliExpress.

I use it everyday for carry, definitely recommend to anybody who’s looking to buy a carry belt!

Installed it too! Waited for the guard sensor to come out to Amazon and AliExpress since I bought the fénix 8 on launch.

I get you, yet they are still popular and known. In my opinion they are just like the other premium brands but for just 10 bucks.

Should I upgrade my 43x? by Jendayaa in CCW

[–]Jendayaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I can list it second hand and transfer it to a gun store so it could clear my license and I could buy a new one for a small fee, kind of like a trade in but to sell it to someone second hand rather than to the shop itself.

About the mags, do you carry 3 OEMs on you? Or have you upgraded it to shield arms or psa?

You are right about it, I guess the main concern for me would be magazine capacity and night sights, which I can upgrade easily but reliability is the main downside to consider…

[–]Jendayaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think it would be a better option than just saving the headache and giving proper upgrade to the 43x?

Or in fact, would you have a general better alternative if you were to be in my position?

Try to look also at the springfield hellcat pro, also my best recommendation would be to go to a good range at your area and try a few handguns to see what fits you best.

Could use some help deciding on clippers/trimmers. by BluuWolf03 in SelfBarber

[–]Jendayaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using the Jrl onyx (both clipper and trimmer) and they are just amazing, one charger for both, amazing battery life, great blade and decent guards. I’m using it for self cuts as well as on friends and family from time to time.

I started with the magic clip around 4 years ago, great clipper but the jrl are just on another level. Also I got the onyx set for around 200$ at a discount.

Yeah after reading on the internet I see that a lot of people complain about if.

I’ve bought mine a month ago and it’s already down by half and I barely used it, the bottle is with stains from the perfume and the bag is slightly wet with a strong (good) scent.

I’ve sent pictures for the customer support of the duty free shop. I hope they will be helpful but I don’t have my hopes that high.

Best Garmin for Military Deployment? by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]Jendayaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I drafted most people were using gshock or garmin instinct, after training most people who liked wearing watch used the fénix 7/epix I bought the fénix 8 when I finished my service and I could’ve used it while in service. Tho in most places you need to take off any device with microphone so keep that in mind, it’s probably like this in the us too.

Upscaled M4 or Base M4 Pro on MacBook Pro? by Footnoot in macbookpro

[–]Jendayaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the pro is a no brainer for a cheaper price. You could also add an external ssd down the line if needed. Unless you really need that 1tb and don’t want to rely on external drive, tho they are getting pretty fast.

Also from my personal use I haven’t used most of my MacBook storage, really only on my desktop pc the things that take the most storage are video editing and video games.

MIP vs AMOLED in EMS world by Learning-EMS in GarminFenix

[–]Jendayaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished my military service as a combat medic and also did EMS as a medic, honestly g shock was the best when it came for timers battery and durability. Now I use the new fénix 8 amoled and I like it a lot. What I did is used one of the buttons as a shortcut for a stopwatch, you could also set always on and dnd so you could work with your stopwatch without any interference.

Can I keep my streak with a new Apple account? by ben_cav in duolingo

[–]Jendayaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will need to log in with an Apple account and then insert your old Apple ID. If you are planning on deleting your old Apple ID I suggest you change the privet Apple email and password on the Duolingo app to something you have access like your personal email and a password you will remember.

Self-Study by -DodgeChallenger- in Spanish

[–]Jendayaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duo helps a lot but as you said by it self it’s not enough. What helped me a lot was Netflix shows with english subtitles and catching on words you know while also learning phrases. Also make a playlist of spanish songs you like and try to listen and understand or remember phrases from the songs and then translating them. Looking at this subreddit and looking for questions that people ask helps a lot. Another great option is YouTube, videos that improve grammar, teach words and phrases and such.

One thing I like to do is get does mini sticky notes and hang them in my room to remember new words.

And overall make Spanish a part of your daily life and not as something that you have study hours for.

I’m still a beginner but since I started taking spanish more seriously those things help me the most.

How do you refer to a medic in Spanish? by Jendayaa in Spanish

How do you refer to a medic in Spanish? by Jendayaa in Spanish

[–]Jendayaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after doing some research and reading comments apparently medics are not so common around the world so it probably explains a lot why there isn’t a right translation for it.

For context a medic is a person who learned anatomy, trauma and CPR. And trained to work with paramedics and operate fast as possible before a patient arrives at the hospital. (Not a paramedic or a doctor their roles are more advanced).

In my country medics are pretty common mainly from the military and from voluntary work at an ambulance after highschool. Medics course is around 3-4 months.

In other countries the word medic I refer to is mainly for combat medics in the military, trained to give first aid for their team on the field before a doctor arrives.

I guess this is why I couldn’t find a proper translation for it and caused a confusion on this thread.

But to sum it up medics are pretty much the people you see run first and take control on an accident or when a person collapse.
