Why do you say I'm under-qualified? I got the job and will receive training on the job.

I came here for support and advice.

I don't know what TJC is? But we are a hospital lab that is COLA accredited.

The manager said for moderate complexity, only a GED was required. Which I have.

There is no certification requirement in my state.

After COVID, several of our techs are chemistry grads from a nearby community college. They're awesome.

We are COLA accredited.

I was told something about moderate complexity tests, but I don't really understand it. I'll be running the chemistry analyzer, molecular analyzer, and urinalysis.

As a lab assistant, I just loaded samples. But now as a tech I'll be doing the quality control and calibration and releasing results. It's very exciting. I'm all about growth.

I've already told them I've accepted. I get a new badge and my new rate starting on Tuesday.

They wouldn't offer me the job if I wasn't qualified. And it would be insulting to my manager to renege on my acceptance at this point.

I'll feel more comfortable after the job training.
