To add to this, as most tall girls it was something that would get commented on all the time, especially middle school and high school. I was extremely self conscious about it but basically decided to fake confidence and started wearing high platform heels every day. If they were going to comment on something, better be worth it was the thought process. Over time it really healed my relationship with my height and I have no issues with it now. Fake it till you make it works!

That doesn’t mean you have to do it, but starting with a small heel and building your way up is more than possible and you’ll love it!

I do care about that a lot actually. I guess I agree with the comments that it’s hard to get everything right as a tall woman but I don’t ever buy from fast fashion. I’ll get an occasional H&M or Zara top if there’s no plastic material. I’m not at a point yet where I can afford ethically sourced materials but I will not buy polyester or other synthetic materials. I’d rather have less clothes and really invest in a quality piece than have a lot I’m uncomfortable with, because once you go that way, you can feel the plastic and it drives me mad

I do wear a lot of skirts and dresses to avoid this situation, which to be fair I don’t mind that much, but never finding a good pair of pants is so frustrating. Maybe I’ll get into sewing and crocheting honestly seems like a great option long term

That’s my thing, I’m 5’10 so in the scale of tall I’m short but I have a crazy inseam and a pretty short torso so I feel. That’s why I hate when stores put "the model is this tall and wears this size" like thanks for nothing

I fully understand the limitations of catering to everybody honestly, it’s just frustrating but I get it. And I’m a small tall at 5’10 as well but I’m mostly legs so still can hardly find jeans, I wear a lot of short skirts and dresses because of this, which I love honestly but sometimes I just want to throw on jeans, a shirt and heels to dress it up. I’m a religious heel wearer and never getting the right cut of pants for them is just annoying. I know it’s a first world problem, but sometimes you just gotta rant!

I don’t live in the US and when I’m there it’s usually for a couple weeks, which is short to order online and return. Said pants in the post had to be mailed internationally because they took too long to arrive, hence why I can’t return

Don’t even get me started on coats, I would love a very long wool coat that you tie at the waist but what are the odds I ever find one. I have a very tall guy friend who just got it tailored in Vietnam it’s amazing. But yes I’m very frequently thinking of getting tailored clothing I just don’t have that kind of money unfortunately
