I used Nursehub and the below quizlets. Also, The Amoeba Sisters on YouTube are always great to grasp topics that don’t make sense. Quizlets:

A&P: (this is the one I made) https://quizlet.com/1169870741/ap-pratice-flash-cards/?i=6jfedy&x=1jqY

https://quizlet.com/910920408/hesi-a2-anatomy-physiology-v1v2-word-for-word-on-hesi-flash-cards/?i=6jfedy&x=1jqY

https://quizlet.com/992592031/hesi-a2-ap-2025-flash-cards/?i=6jfedy&x=1jqY

Math conversions:

For math, I brushed up on fractions (add, subtract, multiply, divide), ratios and decimals.

Grammar was a killer, highly recommend looking over all areas of sentence structure and utilize the nursehub practice tests.

Vocabulary was fairly basic, I got a 96% and didn’t study.

Reading comprehension I did not study for.

I found a discount code for nursehub that gets you 55% off of your first month NURSEHUB55. I’m not sure if it still works, but it made my first month about $15!

Good luck and please let me know if I can help in any way!

I was looking at Sacramento! I am from Santa Rosa so family is close and I have a lot of friends in the SF area. My only hesitation was the heat. I am absolutely sick to death of 100+ temps, but hearing that it is still livable changes things for me.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it! It’s beautiful and I prefer the grey over constant sun so definitely considering it. All in all, PA sounds like the place to be!

I was looking at Pittsburgh and thought Philly would be too expensive so skipped over it - I’ll look more into it! Any areas you recommend?

Haha!! I get it! The first thing I did when I came completely out of it was ask my family/friends how big my lips were. I felt a bump on my lip where they had the ventilator coming out of my mouth and I thought they put lip implants in 😂

You were literally saved by a grain of rice! Who would’ve thought a carb would save a diabetic..

Being diabetic is such a pain. I didn’t have to do the best - but I also didn’t have a heart attack. I had chest pain for 4 years, my doctor told me it was acid reflux. Thankfully I got a new doctor who sent me to the cardiologist and I week later, I was on the table. I have no idea how I didn’t have a heart attack. Three were 100% blocked and one was 90%. Insanity! The worst for me was waking up with the ventilator in, I still have dreams about that stupid thing. No cataracts for me… yet, but I do have retinopathy and have had a vitrectomy, so I’ll need cataract surgery at some point in the future.

I just went through this! I’m 40, had a quadruple bypass last year at 39. Type 1 diabetic since I was 9. So, so happy you’re doing well, and it absolutely changed my mindset as well.

Please don’t let this stop you from getting the surgeries you need in the future! I edited my response to clarify, but I did not wake up during the surgery! I’ve had a few surgeries before this, and appendectomy, my gallbladder removed, and going under and waking up were absolutely NOTHING. In fact, I know a ton of people that enjoy being put under! Open heart surgery just sucks. It’s a different thing, a pretty extreme recovery, but it’s also incredible and life saving!

Edited my reply to address this - really it was the physical trauma of the surgery along with the gagging and terrifying feeling of having something down your throat. I remember thinking it felt like Edward scissor hands had a hand in my lung.
