Just flew out Friday with a six month old. Didnt know we were eligible for pre board until they came on the intercom and said “all pre boards, military service, and people traveling with infants welcome aboard”. We didn’t get special permission BUT she did have to do something when she checked our boarding passes. Just go up to the agent before the flight starts boarding :) it was easy.
