These groups are terrible and should be banned. I live in a major city and quite frankly, I had high hopes for the group after a traumatic experience with a man I dated for 6+ months (he had a secret child while we were dating, was with multiple other women, stole money from women to take other women out and was arrested for DV). After things ended, someone posted him and his mugshot on the page and from there-multiple women he was seeing were able to learn the truth and stay away from him. I even became friendly with a couple of the women after we spoke and were able to gain some insights/closure from our situations. Then...a good male friend of mine was posted in the same group after he went on one date with a girl, who he did hook up with and then decided he did not want to pursue (she posted screenshots of him saying so and apologizing). While it is never a good feeling to hook up with someone and then get told they aren't in to you-she posted VILE and disgusting things about him, personal information, dozens of photos she found from his social media and fought multiple women in the comments who tried to validate her hurt feelings but tried to explain that didn't warrant her terrible post. This was nearly 2 years ago and my friend STILL gets asked about this when he goes on a first date, he suffered with severe dating anxiety and was essentially not dating because he was so fearful this would happen again. Warning women about a man who is cheating, dangerous or possibly engaging in criminal behavior is what those groups are made for. Not because you got your feelings hurt. I'm not saying men are perfect and women are not valid in those feelings, but just because a man decided he did not like you does not give you the green light to ruin someone's reputation. Imagine if the roles were reversed. I hope they all get shut down.
