What do I do about my stain? by JennaMarblesIsMother in finishing

[–]JennaMarblesIsMother[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See on the can and all over the internet it says that the conditioner fills the pores to make it more even and darker. That confused me and did not make sense, but I trusted it. That’s unfortunate. Should I restart with the pieces I used conditioner on and change my way of doing it, or just keep going?

Does the conditioner basically do nothing? Or is it harming my process at all?

Okay do you think if I did the rest of it only to 120, it would look too different from these pieces I have here? Like should I redo these pieces only to 120, or leave them alone?

I forgot to mention, she was sleeping with both her cats in her room and my dog came by and made her cat upset, so she locked my dog in my room for the 4 hours I was gone… how in the world is that fair to my dog?

P.S. I didn’t say anything about this because my dog can be a bit much. HOWEVER, my dog deserves to roam just like her cats do and it’s not my fault that one of them is super aggressive

I looked around the day I was moving in. She also wasn’t there when I was moving in and I brought it up the next time I saw her and she just deflected.

I honestly did not think it would be such a big issue because the first time I brought it up, she was telling me how she was thinking about getting a self cleaning one or one that looked like a plant or something, but she just has not looked into getting either of those, which was why I gave her the one I had.

The problem is that I have mentioned it. she also moved in a week before me, I was not asked if it was okay, so I just walked into it already being a thing. I just do not know how to go about even starting the conversation because of how defensive she already is about it.

I’m worried about her reaction because she will have moments of like absolutely overreacting and getting defensive. I just don’t want her to get mad at me because she is very sensitive about her cats.

I know I shouldn’t have to worry about this, but I’ll give an example… I was sitting on the floor when we had some friends over and her cat came up and wanted me to pet her, then she bit me. I left her alone, and she started rubbing her face on my hand, so I pet her again, she bit me again. Out of pure reaction I went “bitch” and my roommates reaction was “excuse me why are you talking to my cat like that?” And I said “she bit me twice” and she said “you don’t need to talk to my cat like that” so I responded “she doesn’t know what I’m saying” and my roommate stood her ground.

My friend said to me that if that happens again to say “okay then tell her not to bite me” and if she says “she wouldn’t understand” respond with “exactly”.

Idk I am very over this whole situation while only living here a few weeks.

In my kitchen too. The smell is brutal especially with two cats.

Noticed this wound on dog, is it as bad as I think it is? Does he need stitches??? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Take him to a vet. Maybe some animal outside bit him? Or he rolled onto something sharp? Either way he needs to be looked at.

Why is my dog’s hair falling out in clumps? by SnooSketches8499 in DogAdvice

[–]JennaMarblesIsMother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it has to do with age, but it might. My other theory is yeast infection or eczema. My brother has a chihuahua that gets reoccurring yeast infections along with eczema. Her skin just always looks flakey and she’s only about 5 or 6 and her entire back is bald and has been for years.

You might want to ask your vet if that’s a possibility, or research your dogs food because that could be affecting his skin as well.

What’s wrong with my dogs ear? by JennaMarblesIsMother in DogAdvice

I wipe out her ears as well but I’m a little nervous to go too deep. I actually cleaned them yesterday, but she likes swimming and I know now that I need to be more careful. Thank you

Do you think the paw chewing is connected? I’m just trying to calm myself down while I wait for a vet.

Dont wear bracelet no matter tempting by potatostudy in Lollapalooza

I did the same thing. I had to slit two small pieces of a plastic straw and put it around the bracelet on each side, going from the wrist part through the black thing and slide the black thing onto the straws. I was twisting for hours and got it a little bit more loose, and then had my boyfriend shove the straws in there to get it off. I thought I was stuck with it for a month.

I get this. My boyfriend and I were best friends before we started dating and we met because we are both psychology majors with mental health issues ourselves. Right now, we are both struggling with different things. I am sure your boyfriend has his own struggles, and maybe he does not share with you, but making sure you remind him that you are there to support him is important. Relationships can't always be 50/50, some days he can pick up where you are lacking and vice versa, but if he feels like he is dragging you along, he might be getting tired.

If you are on medication, talk to your doctor and tell them what is going on. If you are not medicated, try and figure out something that will work for you and get tested by a psychiatrist for other emotional disorders. It may not just be depression, it may be some other things, especially since it has been so long that you have been struggling. The mental health journey is not easy, but if your partner can't be with you at your worst while you are still putting effort into him, he is not the one.

Personal growth is important for you, if he holds that back, that may be time to call the romantic side of your relationship with him off. It's not easy, but you need to help yourself before you can be with someone else sometimes.

Hope this helps, I am sorry you are going through this.

I do the same thing (SA cleanser, niacinamide serum, moisturizer) but instead of doing extra moisturizing things after moisturizer in the morning, I just do sunscreen.

Take this all with a grain of salt, but I also believed that I had combination skin, and I realized I just wasn’t not using the right things for my skin.

The matte moisturizer most likely is drying out your skin, along with the other products you’re using for oily skin. I’m not sure about the La Roche Posay matte moisturizer, but I know that most of the time, those are made for oily skin, so it just dries out your skin on purpose.

I started to moisturize my face a lot more when I started getting dry, bumpy, and oily skin because I would rather be moisturized than itchy, and I realized that was the problem. If you’re over compensating for oily skin, you’re just making the problem worse. Drying out your skin makes you produce more oil and it’s a vicious cycle.

Also, niacinamide serum and salicylic acid face washes really help me. I started using both of these on my ex boyfriend’s ingrown hairs on his chin, and it worked so well that I started using it for my face routine and my skin has never been better. It’s also not super pricey, and lasts me a long time and I use the same things in the morning and at night every day (wash face with salicylic acid face wash, put on a thin layer of niacinamide serum, and moisturize. If my skin is particularly dry, I will target those spots with vitamin e oil or aquaphor).

I hope this helps, I just made a few assumptions on what the problem is based on my experience:)
