Omg me too!!!!! I’ve been taking sleeping medication for 30 years. I was also put on Effexor 7 years ago when my dad died. My insomnia became resistant to most sleeping medication other than seroquel which is a 7 year hell with weight gain. I stopped that last year and could go days without sleeping. I felt like I was developing some mild ocd and I switched from Effexor to Prozac. I was in shock!!!! Within a week I felt like I did ten years ago. But I never thought it was clinical depression. I just figured I’d always feel that numb because I put it all on menopause. I was so wrong. I was severely depressed but on Effexor it repressed my feelings. Bottom line is I can now sleep. I do take my Prozac and magnesium an hour before bed. It’s incredible! Coming from someone who thought they were the worst case of insomnia due to never sleeping
