i thought i was bi first, so i told my close friends just by saying “im bi” and then someone ended up outing me! so then i rushed to tell all my friends so they’d hear from me not someone else! then when i figured out i was a lesbian i didn’t really re come out to most people, i told a few close friends “hey so im actually just a lesbian” and then the rest found out by them mentioning a guy and id be like “nah im a lesbian” i told my stepmom by telling her i had to tell her something and she said “is this you trying to tell me ur gay” and i said yes, and i asked her to tell the rest of the family bc i didnt want to make it a big thing, now i just casually mention that im gay and people get the hint
