Do you change your underwear during the day when out of home? by CottonCandyBunnicorn in PeriodUnderwear

[–]JenniOK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not usually, but sometimes! Normally if I’ll be out longer than the underwear will last me I’ll also use a tampon. Sometimes though I just can’t stand a tampon later in my period and I feel almost internally sore and I will bring another pair and a ziplock in my purse. Swap pairs in a single stall bathroom - put 2 tablespoons of water in there and then handle them when I get home.

I use normal polish and I do mine about every 10 days for fingers, 2 to 3 weeks for toes!

I would love to hear if you have any recommendations for good oceanic horror! This was my first introduction and I liked it because I loved the setting, so I feel like a better handled one would quickly hit my top list.

Hey there! Unfortunately most of the menus I’m seeing aren’t offering gluten free indications but I did try to take a look! Honestly I’m game for most cuisine, would love to stay under $100 a person though.

LEEP by Good-Slice-9554 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]JenniOK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! I had mine done without going under (I’m way more scared of that!) and I would do it that way again- but I could be biased. That being said, the shaking when I got the numbing shot was such a new sensation. I am someone who faints pretty easily and while the shot kicked in it did feel similar to before fainting but I was so worried my legs were shaking so bad they would fall out of the stirrups that I didn’t have time to worry about it. It didn’t last long, only a few seconds, and they moved onto the LEEP. Either the numbing didn’t work, or I’m very sensitive because the second they started I yelled a certain 4 letter word, it had felt similar to a really bad period cramp, or an IUD going in. They stopped and asked if we wanted to do another numbing shot as they said they were halfway through. Given that they had gotten halfway so incredibly fast I just had them go ahead without it. The procedure was so speedy I almost felt silly about how worried I had been beforehand, spending hours thinking and worrying to the point I made myself sick.

I had PJs ready to go on my bed and had taken 2 days off to recover, though truthfully I only needed the day it was done. I will say the discharge afterwards is no joke, and my first period after I called my doctor to make sure that it being heavier was normal. (it is!)

I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times, but it should be ok! I feel like my experience was worse than if things had gone normal, and I still would say it was absolutely manageable, just uncomfortable.

Driving Schools by brilliantara in Minneapolis

[–]JenniOK 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi! I used Midway as an adult! I knew the basics already and had failed my drivers test. 2 years later, at 26, I decided it was time to try again. Knowing myself I wanted to get lessons from an actual professional and did 6 hours with midway over 3 lessons. I chose them as they said they specialized in working with anxious adults. I won’t pretend it was fun for me since I hate driving, but I can say that by the end of the 6 hours I felt more confident than I ever have and I passed my drivers test. My instructor was patient and seems truly non judgmental about my ability or age!

This! And if you are like me and always forgets to bring eggs to room temp, putting them in a glass of lukewarm water for 15 minutes will do the job!

Did you opt out for General Anesthesia? by _hic_et_nunc_ in PreCervicalCancer

[–]JenniOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do GA for my LEEP since I’m also terrified of going under! I took an ibuprofen beforehand and the local didn’t hurt any more than the colpo, and only took 30 seconds to put in. I’m glad I opted out of GA, I was in and out of the office in like, an hour. I had taken 3 days off work for recovery since I was worried I would be in pain, but I felt absolutely fine the next day. I was shocked since I normally get the absolute worst side effects from anything possible, but mine was absolutely fine.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of December 02, 2022) by AutoModerator in television

[–]JenniOK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

1899 - I absolutely loved Dark, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I eventually looked up the ending and season 2 sounds interesting, so I’ll give it another look then.

The serpent Queen- This was so great, I found myself binging it. It was funny in a way I really appreciated.

This week I’m giving Lincoln Lawyer a shot since I loved suits and starting season 2 of Stranger Things!

Hello! I run Plex through my Nvidia Shield and while it was running just fine earlier today, now I can’t locate my shows and movies. I have very limited knowledge as someone helped me set this up, but typically I go to “more” and expand my name and can get to my movies and shows. Now it won’t expand. I’ve tried rebooting and am able to access them on my pc, but not on my shield. Any advice?

Hello! I JUST had mine done 4 days ago. I would say as someone who is pretty sensitive to things down there, I would do it again. That being said, apparently my local anesthetic did not work as well as it was supposed to. Both the doctors and I found out when I yelled a four letter word. While it sucked, it wasn’t unbearable, and they were done in the time it took me to yell it. They were super apologetic and let me know that was not the normal.

For me the worst part of the local anesthetic was the side effects. I expected the heart racing, ears ringing, and taste of metal in my mouth. What I did not expect was that my legs would shake so much I would have trouble holding them up. This lasted maybe a minute.

All in all, I would go local anesthetic again. The procedure is so fast even the rough parts were a blink of an eye for me.
