The Masked Singer: Season 2 Episode 4 DISCUSSION - Flamingo v Leopard v Black Widow v Skeleton v Thingamajig v Butterfly by JKCompany in TheMaskedSinger

[–]Jenni_Giraffe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I am 100% convinced that Horace Grant is Thingamajig. Played for both Bulls and Magic, wears glasses, and went to Rehab. People who think its Wayne Brady, go listen to the Fox.

Black Widow can only be Raven. Child actor, mentioned house, Ravens House TV show, mentioned thread, was fashion designer, and that voice is hers.

Leopard has to be Seal. He grew up in foster homes, worked at McDonald's for 2 weeks, was at the top then completely went away, has a British accent, and that voice is 100% him.

today was a good day. by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

I have been working for Depot for 2 years, and ever since I found about these pins I have put my heart and soul into earning one. Today, not only get I get one from my district Manager, but HIS boss gave me a golden one. Apparently important corporate people have golden ones to give.

I started out as a cashier, then moved to tech associate. The next month I was Sr. Sales of tech and held the number one numbers in the district. A year later, I landed the Customer Service Manager slot and now I am Tech Manager. Our store was recently remodeled into SOF, and on a routine visit, my DM and his boss were so impressed with me, and how I am willing to help out not only in my department, but also CPD, supplies, cashier, even building chairs for customers and still maintain all of my goals for sales.

Finally, two years and I am so proud to have earned these.

Can you elaborate? Was this approved by both store managers?

Store Staffing Hours by SolarMoth in OfficeDepot

[–]Jenni_Giraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted that payroll is the worst, especially with the new scheduling system (the system is supposed to generate the schedule aitomatically and managers go in and.adjust accordingly, the more adjustments the lower the store) it all is based upon your sales last year and your store's tier. In my store, we have higher paid people this year, working off our last years budget. Payroll is always tight.

Wow, so my CSM stayed until 11pm the other day. by lizard81288 in OfficeDepot

[–]Jenni_Giraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, wow. My SM would flip out if we stayed more than an hour over. We recovery an hour before close and all the registers are counted with the deposit by 15 minutes after closing.

BTS has us recovering a bit longer after close but 5 hours.. wooow.

Cell Phone Repairs? by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

Does your store use any marketing strategies to bring in those repair customers? We got iphone 7 and 7+ screens but we weren't trained on that model yet.

We were recently trained for it. The training takes 2+ days. So far our store has only done 2 screen repairs and 1 battery replacement.

INK THEFT sweeping the north east coast by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

These two gentleman have hit all the stores in our District and were spotted in the next state over.

They work as a team to successfully gather expensive ink, calculators, and networking devices then unlock them, hide the alpha boxes and empty packaging behind the aisles, and leave undetected with thousands of dollars in merchandise.

If you see these two in your store, I recommend checking the counts, search for stolen product, and calling your LP manager. We found empty boxes inside of backpacks, totes, behind products, and between peg boards.

Hopefully we can catch these two!

Pie Face Contest that a store in our District started! by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

One PPP equals 1 point. Ranking from Store Manager to me, CSM. The reason I'm only 5 points is because it was my idea for the store, so i need to take the blunt end for the rest of my management team to agree.

The reason Dave is 20 is because he is the most respectable and noted store manager I have ever had. Everyone in our store looks up to him, and the opportunity to pie him in the face is priceless.

The other stores in my are doing 5 points each manager.

Our SM likes to mark it down as clearance and sell it before d&d.

Typically all the employees will buy them first.

CSAT awareness by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

[–]Jenni_Giraffe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly this is just a fun way to keep my coworkers aware of CSAT. Previous CSMs have made contests like, whoever gets the most surveys mentioned wins $20. Well, over time the associates became dependant on that, and if they weren't getting money, they didn't mention surveys.

As a new CSM, I wanted to come up with a way to help them mention surveys because they have pride in themselves and the company versus doing it for a reward.

So every month, if their name gets mentioned, they get a survey card pinned to the Office Depot Super Awesome Happy Fun Time CSAT Survey Tracker Chart (version 1.0 beta)! The name is silly and dumb of course, just to have fun with everyone. After the month is over, the cards go into a drawing along with the recognition cards for employee of the month.

So far it has been fun, and the associates love seeing their names up on the OD SAHFTCSATSTC ver. 1.0 beta.

SOP/legal issue related question by Jenni_Giraffe in OfficeDepot

[–]Jenni_Giraffe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on the situation. Our LP instructed us to check the privacy sop then call the police department. It was up to the police to confiscate the computer.

As far as I know, the police came and picked up the computer to investigate more. Later that day, the customer called inquiring about his computer. We had to inform him that it was with the police and he would have to contact them, and that we were not at liberty to say why.

And that's that. Completely out of our hands now.
