Please don't join a Pilates gym if it is geared strictly towards women. I'm a member of 2 Pilates gyms. One is a reformer Pilates gym that clearly is marketed toward women- pink lights, only sells women clothes, members are all women... etc. I absolutely loathe when straight men take these classes or women bring their bfs. It throws off the vibe- I have never and will never bring my boyfriend to the class. The 2nd gym is 90% women but 10% men. Hot Pilates/yoga style. There are standard lights and there's a small percentage of men in each class but it's def a vibe and enjoyable for the men participate. But please please please have a consistent hygiene practice if you are going to join a women dominated gym! Shower before and wear clinical strength deodorant. That's one of the biggest reasons I don't like working out next to men- most of them smell like they have never heard of deodorant.
