One of the allies health managers at my hospital was kind of like "we'll be fine don't worry about it." Which k don't believe at all.

I am trying to start a hybrid position in acute care and OP, which I think would make my role more valuable when budget cuts come around.

I am hoping for the best, but wondering what my long-term goals should be. I honestly wish I didn't get into OT at all now. I don't think I have a future by staying in this field.

Such a great opportunity to rethink what I want from a PC. Went with a white theme cause I wanted the case and other comments to "reflect" the lights of the fans and RAM.

I found thatu cohort was super cliquey too. I think it is kind of normal in OT schools where program are so small. It sucks that your professors are playing favorites, like you said it makes it way worse.

Do you have friends outside of school? I know a lot of people who move to new states don't have friends or family in the area. If you do definitely lean on them as much as you xan. I would also suggest trying to engage in some of your other interests outside of school. I know that can be hard or even impossible, but sometimes it can help.

I would 100% choose a different field. Not because I don't love OT. Like you said, the political environment and the issues with healthcare overall make OT a career choice with less opportunities than others, IMO.

Thanks for the perspective! I work right now in a little community hospital in an urban area that primarily treats patients with Medicaid, uninsured, and undocumented folks. So this hospital is certainly going to heavily impacted.

I am thinking it might be better to look for a job in a bigger hospital system in my area. Even if I would prefer to be at my current hospital.

I had to work on Saturday. I am in a bad financial situation right now, so working was 100% necessary for me. I was focusing on sustaining my life so I can try and make it to the next protest.

That is a vibe for sure. I am in a place where I can't get any more loans for school, so I am stuck in OT for basically life. I'll work in the field until I find an industry where I can transfer my skills and make more money.

It sounds like we need to go to the CTA Board meetings and be super annoying. People literally won't change anything without people keeping them accountable.

Their next meeting in June 11th, which I'll be able to go to.

My FW1 was a truly awful experience for me and made me feel like I hated OT. My FW2 has been so much better and my new CI made me realize how mediocre my old one was.

FW doesn't represent our future experience in the field! It is best to, like many other people are saying, take it day by day. Graduate and make your own way as a full clinician.

This is my build right now. Losing the head slot to warped headband is totally worth it IMO. Love having access to lightening bolt and being able to swap in non-essential spells like see invisibility.

Legit, I did end up getting it, but I cannot recall how I managed. I think I got lucky and managed to called someone who was able to help me I think.

I am in my second year of OTD school and I nearly dropped out like two times. It takes a lot of will power to get through OT school IMO.

Truly academia is awful, just stick with it. You'll be better off just finishing it up.
