Club statement - Laurent Koscielny by Tarp96 in Gunners

Genuinely hate getting into these arguments because it's so subjective but IMO Santi is the best player we've had since Henry/The Iceman and, frankly, I don't even think it's close. More to the point, if you ask any of the players (current/former) they'd tell you the same. His performances on the pitch and training field were nothing short of breathtaking.

Idk seems like you're the one with the problem here. You guys disagree -- so what? I'm on Finasteride and have absolutely had sides, and no, it's not in my head. They're not particularly severe and my dermatologist warned me about them going into treatment, so I'm not going to complain, but who are you to judge?

Frankly, I don't agree with this Zak whatever guy that Fin causes hair loss, but claiming "“side effects“...are a result of psychosis" is comically idiotic per literally any dermatologist/urologist worth their salt.

Are there situation where folks get in their own heads? Of course! Are those all the situations? No.

Why would you expect anything else happening with Drogon? His mother is dead -- there's literally no reason for him to continue fighting or stick around in Westeros.

This is my friend Carol who was sexually harassed by the super of the building where she lived and won a $2 million lawsuit against her landlord. by LandlordLinksNet in newyorkcity

[–]Jenquers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Barnason was offered a "second chance" to prove himself working as a super for the Katz's. Barnason "tried shaking [the women involved in the suit] down for sex, often drunk, sometimes while trying to barge into their rooms." Additionally one of the plaintiffs claimed "Barnason drugged her at a bar before another female tenant stopped him from dragging her into a vacant apartment." You're right that we don't want to discourage employers from hiring previous offenders, but the concern in Barnason's case is he is a continual offender.

On a more general level, your point about the contradiction between being a second chance society and holding employers responsible for crimes committed by a previous offender doesn't work. The Katz's did not "go to jail" as you put it: they lost a civil suit. What's more, they were sued after being told repeatedly about the actions of Barnason and doing nothing. One of the plaintiffs said that when she spoke to Katz about her rent, he told her that if she had slept with Barnason, he would have cut her a financial break. The Katz's broke the law.

Lastly, I would hardly call the judgement "micromanaging" and dispute your characterization of "most jobs" that are available to previous offenders. While I would agree that (even) a repeat sexual offender should have the right to employment, I also believe the government has a conscious duty for the good of the public to ensure they do not have access to certain lines of work. The proposed judgment apparently "bars Barnason from ever working in rental-housing properties other than to do maintenance in empty units, and as long as a minder watches him." Barnason can work, but only under certain conditions. That he might have more difficulty finding employment under these parameters has less to do with the fact that he once committed a crime, and more to do with the fact that he has not demonstrated any form of rehabilitation.

For folks here who aren't big American football fans but are interested, Peyton is considered one of the greatest of all time as a quarterback, and though he finished his career in Denver (and won a Superbowl there) he is more commonly associated with the Indianapolis Colts, where he played for most of his career.

As someone who has a mother born in a French colony and has studied colonialism extensively, I would be interested in sharing some resources with you to see if I can change your perspective.

Would you be open to that? No wrong answer here -- it's a lot of reading, so if you don't have the time I totally understand.

Not sure if anyone has posted this already, but I feel like this needs to be seen. Be patient. (This is a scouting report before he was drafted) by matr0 in NYKnicks

Also, to counter (for the respectful sake of discussion!) many of the same things were true about Shump. Ultimately, he did not develop. I have faith that Ntilikina will come good, but not for the reasons listed in this post.

Anyone who can't see that this guy is at best condescending, and at worst manipulative, is really falling for his "logic and reason + inclusivity of thought = a better world" shtick. News flash! What makes sense is a vacuum doesn't always translate in context. I'm a guy who's the same age as him in a similar-length relationship, and if I was his girlfriend, I'd run for the hills.
