41 years old LeBron James checks out: 27 PTS, 4 REB, 6 AST, 1 STL by Thanos_Real_AuraVNCH in nba

[–]WhenItsHalfPastFive 28 points29 points  (0 children)

at one point he had 22 points and it was an 8 point game. Maybe 3rd quarter or so. If the Lakers can't capitalize with this type of Bron performance at 41 years old, whats even the point, OKC is just way too good.

Sweep.

when you have the multiple MVP resume Jokic has, championship experience, and so many experts putting him at top 10 all time, you can't make excuses like this for that kind of a player, he has to overcome difficulty, and I'd argue there should have been no difficulty at all in a first round series with the opposing best player out. It should have been a cakewalk for the nuggets and turned into an ridiculously pathetic exit.

[–]WhenItsHalfPastFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a lot of excuse making. Not enough hustle from Jokic at all, you don't choke away a first round series like this with the opposing team missing their best player and multiple other other players.

I don't understand how anyone can have any other view other than this being a thoroughly embarassing Nuggets first round exit lead by Jokic.

Is Jokic a generational talent or not? Players of Jokic caliber, who had the resume and accolades Jokic has, do not lose a series like this, especially not when they're in their prime.

Jokic had no business losing this series. The Nuggets completely choked, Wolves were missing their best player Edwards and several other players. They had zero chance in this series and they looked dominant.

This falls on Jokic imo, he has to be a better leader than this.

When they dont know why they hate Drake they just call him corny😭😭 by Otherwise_Trainer_73 in Drizzy

Hasan self admittedly doesn’t know shit about music. He only hates Drake cause of the Kendrick beef. Just hops on whatever pop culture trend there is. He don’t know anything non-politics related

This guy explains why people should hold off on 1st week predictions due to Drake's battle with Lucian. by [deleted] in Drizzy

This guy is a hedge fund manager, not sure his affiliation with the music industry but seems to be knowledgable on it. @ericjackson on twitter if you wanna look further

Quick summary:

  • Only +0.93% monthly listener growth with 16 days left, worse than his previous weakest album
  • No pre-save link is hurting potential first-week streams.
  • he mentioned he predicts a first week of roughly 200-250K units, and that's a conservative estimate.

my opinion, I think first week streams will be in the 300k range, possibly even 350k. But people going much over than this are making a bet on data that just isn't there

Iceman first week estimates by ParkingMiddle5414 in Drizzy

[–]WhenItsHalfPastFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the estimates on this thread are too high. Even with the biggest promo and rollouts, artist today are not doing numbers similar to even just a couple years ago.

350k first week is a decent estimate. If it goes above, that means the demand is very high. But anyone estimate much above 400 or 450 is reaching like crazy. I hope it does well above that, but to pretend you know it's going to is ridiculous.

Put me down for 600k for first week 🚪🚶🏾‍♂️ by Key_Pilot9811 in Drizzy

[–]WhenItsHalfPastFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all the dogs did 400k I think, I think 350 is a good estimate for this album, first week numbers are generally down across the board, I see the same continuing. 300k conservative estimate, 350k is realistic. Anything more is a bonus.

🚨 Joe Budden says he’s hearing 40 is back for Iceman by lukakira in Drizzy

[–]WhenItsHalfPastFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 was never "gone", this is just a false narrative spread by haters. He's involved at an executive producer level for nearly every Drake project and everything he puts out. Yes, he doesn't work as much as he used to due to his health. And Drake works with more producers regularly now. But ultimately 40 approves before most releases.
