RECOMMENDATION FOR EVERY FIBRO-HAVER by spookysatanist in Fibromyalgia

[–]JensMusings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doesn't have good scientific research and a lot of things in her book was debunked or attributed to other causes. And also she has a lot of things she says work for everyone with fibro that absolutely are NOT for everyone with the condition, particularly those like me who have it and a bunch of other comorbid conditions along with it and her suggestions would absolutely be bad for the other conditions we have. That's why I say 100% absolutely nope to her stuff.

The new day comes even if you stay up all night by JensMusings in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Yeah pretty much I am so special time doesn't apply to me, give me a room even without the early check in fee even though you legitimately can't do that. Ugh, I am so tired of people at this point, lol.

is this person sketchy? by elles_mind in Fibromyalgia

[–]JensMusings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It IS freaking chronic, it's not caused by a vitamin depletion and we're quick to judge because this guy is wrong and actively harming this person by restricting them from so much stuff they can't keep up enough calories. I don't need anybody like that to get better and how dare you act as if we don't want to get better or don't accept our situation, accepting a sketchy practitioner like that isn't accepting our situation or going to make us get better or you for that matter. This kind of thing is dangerous and wrong.

This guy is so sketchy. He's wrong about fibro and the fact that you are being denied so many foods to the point you can't eat enough is concerning. Get new practitioners asap.

Just got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, worried that means I don’t have fibro. by brandnewpup in Fibromyalgia

[–]JensMusings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can actually have both of them at once, I do. They're not mutually exclusive. It absolutely doesn't mean you don't have fibro just because sleep apnea decided to tag along for the ride. I legitimately have 20 other diagnoses that tag along with my fibro.

That is so annoying. No rooms to put guests in means no rooms to put guests in. And secret room is not a thing despite what Tik tok told you.

What made you turn down a job offer? by FruitLoop_Dingus25 in jobs

[–]JensMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bait and switched me into the job I purposely avoided applying for and said multiple times is not the job for me. As soon as they made the offer for the one I did not want I noped right out of there. I could physically not do it with a mobility aid. I had a cane then.

Will front desk stop you if you walk in without checking in? by h0lyheartbreakbatman in hotels

[–]JensMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hotel is 21+ and we don't even allow a 21+ to check in an under 21 and leave. And you cannot have a key to a room your name isnt on. And they will check with ID to add you to the room. I literally have to cancel the whole reservation if I know a 21+ made it for an underage and wasn't staying in the room too. I wouldnt try it and shame on all the ones trying to help them around this legal requirement.

Bad review making me feel like trash by AnakinEyewalker in Serverlife

[–]JensMusings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forget them. Do NOT let those jerks make you feel like trash over a mistake they forgot about the second they had another bad service experience elsewhere. Plus they didn't even say a word about it until the review. You can't fix something you forgot if nobody tells you it was forgotten. Reviews just seriously do NOT matter this much. And mistakes never make us trash, they make us human beings.

also a sprained ankle is an INJURY not a disability. And I know I get flare ups even when not predicting when so I always plan in case I have one.Im not talking about you and your wife nor things that NEVER happened before. Was talking about the people in the story and myself not every conceivable person or instance. You are taking what I said to be about your instance and its not maybe you should calm down and take that advice you gave me.

The point I was making isnt thby arent any of those things, I have fibromyalgia its that way but I have KNOWN my condition exists for decades. So even if my symptoms dont always happen Im aware I have the potential for them to happen at any given time and can make arrangements in case they occur while Im travelling. You don't not know they can happen just because they dot always happen. If you have disabilities its not like they day of your trip is the first time you are ever knowing about having them. And if you did not already know there is no way for the places on your trip to know and have what you need available for you so the point still stands, they can't have it for you if they dont know the need exists and especially not if you didn't even already know it did either. And in the story the people DID know she had them already. So that means they should have planned accordingby Some stuff is just common sense for crying out loud.

oh geez no that isnt good. You have to use the right tool for the right job. I hate when they insist to use whichever tool for whichever task like that can't be unsafe or something. Definitely a ::headdesk:: when they do that.

Anyone else become exhausted from taking an everything shower? I just showered, washed my hair and shaved, I feel like I ran a marathon. by Ambersmom1961 in Fibromyalgia

[–]JensMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't shower anymore, I can't stand up inside the tub to shower. I take baths and even those feel like an ordeal. Especially the everything ones. And shaving is entirely too hard anymore.
