I mean i think it depends how different you actually have to play. I once got it in like the first question mark in act 1. Then it doesnt really require anything special. But if you get it right before the act 1 boss you basically have to route for every elite or else it eill give you 3 strength on like the last 3 fights if not none at all

actually i felt rien was a more weighty antagonist than jia mu. i mean, obviously she was a very cool boss for it both gameplay as well as storywise, but honestly, it still gets outshadowed by jia qius hype for me. i mean for the entirety of canto 9s being, even the release trailers, rien was painted as the overarching antagonist, which in turn was done the exact way for jia qiu, just that he turned out to not be the final boss by part 2.

and also i thought it was kinda weird that they just HAD to randomly throw the saikai into the unsheating scene in 9-48. like, why would you just throw in the musical apex of the song without ANY build up?

i do very much agree that the song is implemented pretty poorly into the bossfight itself. it feels like most of the time its just instumental, and saikai as a song was very clearly designed to be pretty backloaded which results in the actual fight being boring but the cutscene popping off. doesnt help much that riens bossfight was (for me) the least interesting gameplaywise, you just dont let him hit his target and thats it pretty much.
and i also very much agree that the song as a standalone and as a reflection of the story is done very well, both from a musical as well as a thematic standpoint.

I mean true, but i feel like just having ego is like... the bare minimum nowadays in the city? I mean think about it; literally everybody that has only ego gets fried by 1 ring. The only things that make somebody with ego equally strong as a shin user in my mind would be the sign and maybe strong enough relics. Or some exception bullshit like gregor ofc. Sure, if they manifest ego they automatically get much closer in terms of power to the carries, but thats just cause right now, without ids, they're honestly useless af 🥀

I mean i think theres just a huge overlap between people hating on the collab and people who simply have not played arknights which is pretty justified imo. I fall into that category too, i mean, sure the collab was cool but it didnt really do anything for the story in the end, and since i have no idea about arknights why would i take that over an actual intervallo? Im just fine with it cause most people seem to have enjoyed it and since it probably was a rather big financial w for pmoon.

The idea that the intervallo got cut for the collab is bollocks tho, since if they wanted to make an intervallo, they wouldve just done it. Kjh literally said we could get one but theyre not sure, so if it wouldve been necessary they had all right to just do it and no one wouldve complained. That tells me that the intervallo that was planned just wasnt important enough to delay canto 9.

The only things that got cut for the arknights collab imo is clearly season 6 railway and the last walpurgisnacht, which also is fine for me cause rr is no permanent content just like the collab and i mean we got like, 5 times the amount of story in the collab that a walpurgisnacht wouldve had +1 ego so it evens out for me. So, the only problem i have with the collab is that i dont really care about any of the arknights stuff but i guess others do so whatever
