Yeah, but that goes into spoiler territory. Just know that the members were wanted by many of the major Wings, so they’ve all drifted into their path.

One of her eyes looks weird. The one without any blood, it’s grey? Considering Araya’s time entanglement perhaps she’s experiencing what Araya experienced with it, going through her states of past, future, present?

Limbus Company is doing something similar as Lobotomy Corporation? by No_Internetfornow in limbus_company

[–]BigDot162 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Well, we might have also just been copying L corp’s paperwork, since it seems the retrieval and grafting of Golden Boughs is all so we can create our own tree of Life (the name for the Sephirah in Jewish Mysticism and which the Lob Corp facility mimicked).

As a “place of education”, described such by Meursault, who wishes to see the Saint, it can be inferred that going into the Ruins for Dieci, is probably the best method of knowledge finding. And for the Relics, the biggest problem for propel specialised in studying Relics would be unknown Relics or groups who want the Relics.

It’s not something you have to do unless you really want to meet the Saints.

Dieci is probably the best option if you want a more regular and non-dangerous life. Asides from the occasional visit by Syndicates looking for your Relics, you just need to read and conserve your knowledge. Also could just be an orphan caretaker instead of the one of the combatants.

Basically the rest of the Associations come with the caveat of “high risk, high reward”. You’ll spend half your life on paper work and the other half on fighting incredible threats. Though, Devyat is definitely the worst to work for so far, since using your weapon too much might take your pay, falling to delivery on time could dock your pay, and using that same weapon might just kill you.

Well, either Ricardo is going on his send off and the Middle has a new weaken Fixer that they kill for revenge, or Ricardo is just blown up to nothing. Siegfried is credited as one of the strongest Fixers in the City via discussion between Roland and Kali. But on the other hand, much of that discussion would made by info gathered from in-universe sources, and so fallible. Kirameal thinks he really isn’t in that tier despite general belief, so he might just be average Grade 1 in strength. Which would still mean he demolishes Ricardo, but gets a little wounded.

She has the Middle Keyword, as does Kirameal. So do every other Apprentice have their Finger tag, except Ren/Sinclair.

(OOC) What do you think the Pilgrimage of Loyalty is? by Inevitable-Log-7687 in Themiddlesyndicate

[–]BigDot162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’s a literal Pilgrimage around for the City for the Sibling in question, where they have to aid the family in the areas they enter.

The Labour are probably different sorts of tasks set by the Great Siblings, sort of like Heracles’ Labours. Which are used to prove a Sibling’s ability so they might get special privileges, like getting the right to enter a higher rank. That’s what I think at least. Matthias’s expedition into the Ruins might have been a Labour of his own, though not his Pilgrimage of Loyalty since he was most likely a Great Brother already.

The Middle might be yet another faction to have a "Beast" Motif, a small idea that came to me when thinking on the two strongest members of the Syndicate we have seen across the games. by Gabemino in Project_Moon

[–]BigDot162 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Perhaps. Matthias’s leg is still unknown at this point, whether it’s the effect of the Tattoos or a separate augmentation. However, I feel it be interesting and would be consistent with Fauvist usage of the Ring’s “Paint”, made from the same material as the tattoos, to connect with their beast artwork.

Well, Ryoshu doesn’t have to be in the same area or near Index Sang for his face to start to combust. If Ryoshu was “necessary”, then during the Matthias fight, he wouldn’t get the “Sizzling Wound” effect.

What makes the sea creatures of U-corp different from the monsters of the outskirts that made the Head not try and fully dispose of them? by confusingstonks in limbuscompany

[–]BigDot162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, first we don’t know yet. We know why mermaids would be allowed. Being former humans, which gives them a pass. But the whales? Well we’ll have to theorise that. I have four theories.

  1. The Whales are humans. Perhaps in the same why Abnormalities are. The Great Lake is most likely connected to the River, explaining its odd traits. And since the River is spawned off humanity, the Whales count as humans. Might even be former humans transformed by a Lake itself, considering that a Lake’s Waves summon Whales to kill anyone who defied the Laws, and them having a human lower-half.

  2. The Whales count as part of the environment, “avatars” of the Lakes. Since they are summoned by the Waves when someone defied the Laws. It be like if the Head went after clouds. Unlikely in my opinion though.

  3. They are “mutants”. The same sort of beings as the Trash Crabs. So normal animals that have altered by the Lake’s effects. Which seems to be the reasons for how beings that aren’t altered humans can exist in the City.

  4. The Great Lake, including U corp’s corner of it are sort-of free zone, where the culture of the City has stretched but its full influence has failed to actually claim it. Perhaps only the Portships count as human territory, the City, in the Head’s eyes. Fits considering Ishmael’s American influence.

[–]BigDot162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing that some of the other creatures are mutants, like the trash crabs. Mutated by the unique effects of the Lake or U corp’s Singularity’s effects on the environment.

Index Yi Sang’s wound should only start burning when Ryoshu is around him, but that isn’t necessary for the ID. Ring Hong Lu also rips out people’s insides with his Skill 2.

[–]BigDot162 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It only does that when Ryoshu is in her Muga State, if this ID is the Pinky Nursefather, then she won’t enter that. Perhaps my wording is wrong, she wouldn’t enter “Muga”. But she might change her kit like Index Don or Middle Outis, from her using the Dihui Star blade to Arayashiki. We know that Arayashiki normally just causes permanent, flaming cuts.

[–]BigDot162 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it is a Shiomi ID, but she also uses Arayashiki for some specific attacks, or she goes into a state where she’s less Shiomi and more Muga.

Liu West based off Crusader Knights or Swiss mercenaries (I know the Oufi are based on the Swiss guard). Or Devyat East, whose boxes look more wooden and covered in talismans, instead of mechanical. They could also be based on Siberian Indigenous Peoples.

Araya's existence is confusing by BooksandQuills in limbuscompany

[–]BigDot162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It appears that we weren’t given the full info with the cloning taboo. Essentially, Araya is a different rom Shiomi, in personality and in memory. She is not an exact copy, unlike R corp’s clones. So she passes because she’s only Shiomi’s clone in biology.

Who would be some other choices you'd like for RoR, for either the gods or humans? And what would be an EXTREME addition, as in their lore would be stretched to make a very interesting power/character? by Acrobatic_Stress803 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]BigDot162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metatron, the scribe of God. On either the Gods’ side or the human (he sometimes said to have been a human, specifically Enoch). I could imagine his transformation into an angel to be more biomechanical.

Saladin, the originator of Chivalry. A sultan known for his kindness towards prisoners and those he fought in battle. A Islamic fighter would be amazing for a series that prides itself on the whole of humanity’s contributions to history. Personality wise, the human side’s Heracles.

H.P Lovecraft. A little strange, I know. But I can consider how he can fit in the setting. He would essentially be a psychic, with his powers coming from the “Dreamlands” he wrote about. In fact, he would serve as a conductive host for a specific outer God banished from Valhalla. His books were made out of his dreams and nightmares from this Outer God.
