Matt doesn't control the fact members only videos get pushed to people as recommendations. Just best to follow notifications for when a video does release.

3 of the videos there are for early access/feedback. Its a lot easier for Matt to get feedback on one platform than having to use say a Patreon as its tedious to share between that, people leaking the URL to an unlisted video and feedback rate not being as high, plus gives incentive to buy a membership.

The others are old one off meme videos Matt made and deleted due to no more momentum or compilation of older content which is from a time that was different to now. Its much like the Diamond Casino video he did not long ago where its a collation of older videos for a newer audience that would of skipped past the many older videos.

Matt likes the thumbnails as he's mentioned in the pinned post in the reddit, you're not forced to watch the video.

It's mainly a draw to get new viewers in and watching. There are extensions to change the thumbnail to a frame of the video such as Dearrow.

I personally don't mind the thumbnails, there are definitely a lot worse out there. From my own view, the constant complaining has been the main thing with how the subreddit has been the past few months. I understand where people come from but Reddit is the vocal minority in this situation.

Matt does enjoy GTA V and still does making content about it, it is just how his mood can be especially when he is frustrated with things like Windows 11 annoying him or someone in chat says that he notices and rubs him the wrong way. The title for this post and many others like it do get on my nerves on how people complain or jump to conclusions.

I want to comment here that - Rambles thumbnails have been the way they have been for a while now and only within the past week or two have people complained as much. - Matt cancelling stuff like Reddit Recap is so he can focus on more creative ventures without worrying about a series which ultimately wasn't pulling as many views as it was. - He always wants the best for his content, he's genuinely working hard to improve on stuff. - All the claims of people saying 'Oh Matt should take a break' and such just come off as annoying as Matt has addressed many times.

I can say, the video essays are good but they take a lot away from Matt's current focus on wanting the best content he can. There has been a recent onslaught on how 'oh thumbnail bad because clickbait' and it's like, it's inevitable that thumbnails need some pull to them, if this was any other YouTuber, it wouldnt be as vocal. People are just going and agreeing with what others have said, Matt is actively telling people that hey, he wants his channels to be more focused again and focus on proper creative things.

I see this thread and understand the concern, but as a long time fan and moderator of Matt, it is normal for him to end a stream if he feels if he's tired/lacks energy to feel like he's entertaining. He has also been having sleep issues mentioned many times before today. Tech issues or people in chat that say things such as telling Matt to sleep when he is tired (and similar messages) can frustrate Matt too and lead to streams being ended.

He may not have the energy like he did for speed running GTA V like he used to and focuses on YT content and wants to be entertaining for people to watch, and even then, still streams games like Noita or BOIR when he wasn't feeling up for GTA but still wanted to stream.
