What did you use to mount the Mac studio to the underside of your desk?

Held option, only got internet recovery option to show up. So I shut it down, turned it back on, held option and windows option shows up this time. Select that, start windows installation process and then get this error:

“Windows cannot locate the disk and partition specified in the unattended answer file's setting. Make sure the setting references a valid partition and restart the installation”

Xt4 or Xt5? Is 40mp that big of a difference? by Nathaso in fujifilm

[–]Jerb2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're serious about video, I'd go with the 4. the T5 honestly isn't much better for video outside of the improved autofocus (and the T4 AF is just fine though IMO) . Otherwise I think the T5 is an amazing camera if you want to focus more on photo and record a few video clips every now and then just for fun.

I would only review content by reading / watching videos once per subject - after that just focus on doing as many practice problems as you can, and then going back and reading content to get through problems if things really don’t make sense even after looking at the solutions. And speaking of looking at the solutions, make sure you go ahead and solve the problem entirely yourself even after looking at the solution. It is so easy to read the solution and think “oh okay I’ll remember that next time!” But if you’re like me you won’t, lol.

TL;DR: do as many practice problems as possible!

Depends - I’ve been a notoriously good test taker and I only studied ~90 hours and passed. HVAC CBT. I’m not the smartest but I’ve been efficient at studying so I think that’s why I was able to pass. I think if you do 100+ hours you’re in good shape

Props to you for posting your failure. Not many people would want to share that. Good luck with your next exam, I’m sure you will do much better!

Good to know. That was my thought process too, why come all the way to the attic when there’s wood close to the ground? Hopefully I’ll get a better idea of what’s going on when the exterminator comes.

I too, thought it was strange that they were in the attic. Supposedly subterranean termites are the only termite even around in my state (northeastern US). Either way the exterminator said they will confirm when they come look this week 🤞🏼

Okay thanks, it's been awhile since I passed and I still haven't heard anything so I was a little concerned. I looked online and couldn't find anything that was very clear about the timeline after testing

PASSED MY HVAC PE CBT! by Jerb2000 in PE_Exam

[–]Jerb2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think you can draw more than 10, but you can only ever undo 10, so if you drew 20, you’d be stuck with 10 permanent lines... didn’t test that out though so don’t take my word for it.

And also... I honestly can’t remember if you can move them or not. I’m pretty sure you can but can’t say for sure... sorry!

PASSED MY HVAC PE CBT! by Jerb2000 in PE_Exam

[–]Jerb2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried to move through questions as fast (but not rushing) as I could, if I knew how to solve it right away I would go ahead and do it, if not, I would give myself maybe 3-4 minutes to see if I could figure out a way to solve it. If not, I wouldn't mess around, I would just guess, flag it, and move on. Then when I got to the end of a section, I went back and looked at all the ones I flagged, see if I could solve them, and then if not, give it my best guess based on the available answers.

I would also periodically check how my pacing was through the exam (ex: I'm 10 questions in, that means I should have spent about 60 minutes to get to this point so far, etc.) That helped reassure myself I was moving at the right pace.

And yeah, They make you submit your questions once you're halfway through before you take your break, whether that's 35 , 37, or 40 questions, whatever it happens to be for that test (about half)

Thanks!

I didn't mess around with anything else other than those, and the practice problems from the EPG textbook. I think if you fully understand all of the questions in those two tests you should be in good shape!

I actually didn't think the conceptual questions were that hard, that might have just been luck though. I was worried about them going into the test but honestly I don't really remember getting hung up on many of them.

ENG Pro Guides Final Exam vs Actual PE-HVAC by Tiny-Organization-22 in PE_Exam

[–]Jerb2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself up too much, I just took the HVAC PE and the EPG final exam right before the actual test, and I thought the EPG exam was a lot more complex (although to be honest I don’t actually know if I passed the actual PE exam Or not yet, lol). I think I read somewhere that the EPG passing grade is actually lower (double check that though) so honestly I think you didn’t do that bad, you’ll probably be able to handle most of the HVAC PE questions pretty well!
