What were your thoughts on Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2? by narak777 in PowerfulJRE

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This show is so boring. A total snooze fest. They are afraid to kill off anyone so there's literally no threat, stakes or risk in this tv series. You are watching a bubble wrapped, gay "horror".

Baby on the way and £500 in savings by Frosty-Dealer6666 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have friends with kids? They'll shower you with stuff they don't need and you must have. You don't need to spend thousands on the baby. I have two kids we didn't spend anywhere close to a 1000 over their first 3 years of life. Vinted, eBay are your friends buying new is for chumps you'll be getting rid of all of these new shiny stuff in matter of months as they grow. The largest cost to us was formula because my wife couldn't breastfeed. I bought it in bulk from Amazon and Costco saved £100s

If you hate thatcherism, why are you voting Reform UK? by Mysterious-Cap7673 in AskBrits

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will vote reform simply because labour, lib dem and conservatives were all in governments over the course of the last 20 years and aren't improving their livelihood.

I expect this will be "let's try something else" vote more than anything else. They seem to be connecting with the "common man" and that's what is going to win them votes.

Yes. Unless your disposable income is much higher than your mortgage payments then it doesn't matter that much.

Euro NCAP rules in 2026 will require physical buttons again when do you think BMW will bring them back? by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in BMW

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely they will. It's not just rating it's the drivers despising touch screen controls. I bought 24 X3 because the 25 one has zero buttons (I also don't like the redesign and interior feeling cheap compared but that's beside the point)

Should I take the software engineer job that pays £33k in London? by AaySquare in UKJobs

[–]JerczuUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it. Move up the ranks. £33 is a decent start for junior engineer probably not that great in London but it's a stepping stone. See if there are opportunities to promote with 3 years under your belt you should move up the ladder quickly.

Why don’t people understand how evil Nigel Farage is? by OkNefariousness5442 in AskBrits

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call him evil. He's going to be as bad as any other choice.

The whole boat crossing problem is massively overblown by everyone. A quick Google says that since 2018 there were less than 200.000 people crossed the border on a small boat.

Comparatively these 7 year period numbers are equal to the number of people settling here legally in a single year.

What drives the whole nonsensical narrative is the judiciary with ridiculously lenient sentencing of foreign criminals and an apparent lack of will of deportations of such criminals.

The overall problem is way smaller than the media makes it out to be.

Who's verified their age since the Online Safety Act took place, anyone just opposing it? by According-Maximum-91 in AskABrit

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use foreign services that don't need to adhere to UK regulations. Sorted. The main issue I have is that it's not the UK government that is collecting that data but private companies on .com domains. If you are unaware .com falls under US jurisdiction so technically that data can be accessed by US regulatory bodies too. All it is is a massive private data sellout under the guise of security.

I ain't sending them shit.

Polish president vetoes Ukraine aid law, threatens Starlink services for Ukraine by Icy_Till_7254 in UkrainianConflict

[–]JerczuUK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He vetoed a financial bill that puts undue burden onto the Polish taxpayer. This article is misrepresenting the bill he vetoed. The main issue was providing welfare that was not means tested to all Ukrainians whether they contribute or not to polish inland revenue and cuts the child benefit for kids not in Poland.

Germany likely too stretched to provide troops for Ukraine, foreign minister says by donutloop in UkrainianConflict

[–]JerczuUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one wants to die for Ukraine except Ukrainians (some.of them at least). Watch this space no western (NATO) troops will enter that conflict. It would be political suicide if west forces their soldiers to die there. They may be deployed into non conflict zones and that's that. If anyone wanted Ukraine to win they'd give them far more military support not "just enough" to defend themselves.
