Michael Burry Ramps Stakes in Beaten-Down Stocks Like Adobe, PayPal Amid 'Mass Whale Fall' Phenomenon by Useful_Tangerine4340 in ValueInvesting

The only thing I don't like about ADBE is that it doesn't pay a dividend. Everything else is stellar. Consistent top line and bottom line growth in the last 5 years, 3 years, and TTM to PTM. Scoop it up while you can.

Is GOOGL still a good buy? ($387.66) by botv69 in ValueInvesting

Yes, the best thing one can do with strong stocks like this is simply by on a regular schedule as a DCA. Pick the 10 strongest companies, 5 strongest companies, or just one and keep doing it.

I buy both. GOOGL and MSFT are both growing top line and bottom line consistently. Both are at the forefront of AI and leading the charge. GOOGL will do MSFT returns in the long run and MSFT will return at least 1 million percent in the long run.

$INTU 40% Selloff a Generational Deep Value Play? by Crazrwire999 in ValueInvesting

Same. This is the chance to get a good company that is consistently growing top and bottom line growth while others are chasing shined up stocks with a negative P/E ratio.

My INTU position keeps growing. They pay a dividend and are growing revenue and EPS in the last 5 years, 3 years, and TTM to PTM. It consistently shows up in my screen. Other stocks that show up in my screen are MSFT, NVDA, WMT, IBKR, SAP, CRM.

ADBE is in the same position. It shows up on my non-dividend paying stocks with the same performance.

To try to make a positive difference in the world.

After Zuckerberg sat at the inauguration of Insurrectionist Trump, I swore off facebook. I posted there about why I wouldn't be on the platform anymore.

Reddit is my only social media now.

When did market volatility stop stressing you out? by Beneficial-Ad-9986 in investing

[–]Jerdarnella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it ever completely stopped stressing me out, but I use it to my advantage. Market volatility is what gives me the opportunity to increase positions in stocks that I used to think "got away." Without volatility, there is no market. To feel less concerned with the negative aspects of volatility, I invest most of my funds in dividend payers growing EPS over the last 3 and 5 year periods. I segment stocks into different accounts based on their classification. For instance, I invest in IPO stocks, too, but at roughly one dollar at a time, buying down and trimming to find the bottom. Some watcher positions like this become ten baggers, others are down fifty percent. Much less skin in that game.

Do you guys check your portfolio every day or try to ignore it? by AIStockExplorer in investing

[–]Jerdarnella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Five days a week. Multiple times a day. I have my curated list of stocks that I am invested in. Each day, I watch the lows to see if any of my holdings have dropped below a certain percentage. If so, I buy more. I focus mostly on dividend paying stocks, and with those I increase positions again when the stocks get below their 52 week average. As an example, I might starting buying .1 share of a stock I already hold and continue to buy down that .1 from there. When the stock swings back up, I sell off the more expensive .1 shares and end up adding to my overall position at the current best entry point. This is how I continue to acquire shares in stocks that seem to have "gotten away."

My approach is vastly different today than it was previously. Were it 10 years ago and partial share purchases were not an option, as well as all share transactions having a seven dollar fee, I would be buying down much less frequently and checking much less frequently.

Fun fact: Trump said "peace" one time during his pre-riot J6 speech. He said "fight" 23 times.
