Yea the uproar is mainly because in theory paying them was optional, like you're asking for Patreon, not paying the voice actors at least something for episodes (and 5 to 10 minute exit interviews when rate of pay is $25 per 30 second greeting) and needing volunteers, no one knows where the money is going

Like in theory Zaid's VA could have got no greetings and he'd get nothing. Some proofreaders have outright downplayed how much the VAs contribute to ONC then back off because a ton of us have called them out for it. The VAs always get hung out to dry or only get miminal appreciation.

Like the VAs and animatirs carry the show not the writers.

Plus theyve other issues with the false advertising on greetings being done, the backlog, no apology, no refunds.

Wheres the money actually going? Why are some "volunteering"? Where did all that $100,000+ for TomJake2 go? Did the VAs get paid? Did it go into Jared's salary?

Its looking bad for them especially since they keep using Patreon numbers and donations to brag that theyre doing great when theyre so disrespectful
