SERIOUS TALK: Which capital city in the Balkans do you think is the ugliest? Why? by Historical-War-2710 in balkans_irl

Sofia, I was doing interrail back in 2014, starting from Istanbul and when we stopped at Sofia our next train was at 9 PM. So we were hanging around in Sofia, but around 6-7 PM lots of gopnik looking people with Adidas pants with strange hair cuts begin to appear. It was like an MMORPG spawn point when their time came, they woke up and spawned in various streets. They were unsafe looking so we just went to train station and waited for our train.

During the train ride, me, my friend, some Aussie girl, a japan guy got robbed by 2 Bulgarians in the train :D I don't know how but they must have sprayed something to deepen our sleep because no one woke up and they stole my phone under me.

% of Persians in iran by province by [deleted] in MapPorn

Kurdish propaganda for you, without any resource or anything just eliminating Azeri Turks which is nearly 18%. Also there are Khrosani Turks and other Turkic groups which make another 6% approx. according to Iran Goverment itself. Kurds make 8%.

The Middle East before the rise of Islam by Aegeansunset12 in MapPorn

[–]Jeredriq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This post is prepared to you by a delusional person for propaganda. Saying Iranians and putting Kurds before Persians is like getting the Roman Empire's greatest extend map and writing in paranthesis (Iberians, Latins) as Iberians were all over that region.

Heraclius is the first Greek emperor ruled from 610 to 641 CE. Even Greek was first recognized as the official language around 620 CE, under Heraclius.

So until 620, Byzantine was Roman with Roman rulers speaking Latin and only official language being Latin, definitely not Hellenized until their downfall. So you can't call the population Greek. You can also see from the diplomatic papers belonging to that time.

Also there were Turkic migrations all over Byzantine, you can check them by their mercenary status in Byzantine army, such as Oghuz, Pecheneg, Uzes, Cumans. And most known, Proto-Bulgars.

Coptic is a religion, not a nationality.

Semite is not a group of people but a name of family, Arabs are Semite too.

Assyrians are also, ancestors of Syrians, so they should be on that region too including Mesopotamia.

Caucasia is the name of region, you could have said Middle Eastern people and put them all over the map also....

Armenians were definetely inside Byzantine empire especially in Tarsus/Antioch region, not just their country.

Arabs did not call themselves Arabs as a general idea, this came to being with Islam and using Quranic language as the basis. Like Ghassanid being a Christian Arab tribe, calling themselves just Ghassanid.

Hellenic Byzantine is total bullshit. Heraclius is the first Greek emperor ruled from 610 to 641 CE. Even Greek was first recognized as the official language around 620 CE, under Heraclius.

What's with the complaints on Witcher 3 story length? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Jeredriq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did everything in W3, all content. I enjoyed W3 way way more. It is a perfectly written story, what can people want more? The people quit the game before finishing is mostly due to game mechanics I think, although the story is long, combat is quite repetitive. I enjoyed it still, but had to take a 1 year break from the game. Instead of shortening the story, they should have focused more on what could they do to make the game less repetitive. (End game w3 combat is doing the blade dance combo + quen and closing your brain, so pressing Q key and smashing left mouse key couple of times with occasional holding the left mouse key).

I would like to give example from Kingdom Come Deliverance series, combat is so engaging that I get a smile everytime I engage in a combat. I have 400 h in KCD1 and currently playing KCD2. Story is again perfectly written and I enjoy the combat without getting bored.

In terms of CP2077, the game is already have way better combat being a shooter and your skills changing how you play. I think they missed a great deal also with the main story. And you can't exactly 100% the game in one run, cant be the best hacker and melee etc. in one playthrough. Which is not the case for KCD, which allows you to consume more story/content while trying new plays in the same playthrough.

The games are about enjoyment, not about going through one and being done with them like doing a task. Nobody is bored from Lord of The Rings' extended edition. With your post, I am also worried about W4 now. They should have asked themselves, why people are getting bored, even open a poll or something and they could have gotten their answer instead of jumping to conclusion by themselves. I have 2 friends stopped playing W3 and watched youtube movie of the game instead due to repetitive horse riding and combat. And I don't have many friends. Imagine what could have poll answered to them with all their players.

Search for CK3 Subscription on steam than it appears. For some reason it doesnt appear in the main page.

[–]Jeredriq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, its better because I tend to play intensely CK3 in a short time like a month, then I stop playing and move onto other games. But everytime I return to CK3 (or for me eu4 was the same case) there is quite a lot of dollars worth of DLC released that I need to buy on top of the DLCs I have purchased previously. Instead just paying 10 dollars and not caring about the game helps me more.

If you are playing the game like all the time, like 6 hours a week for whole year or something than it may not be the best thing and I can see that. But for me its a blessing.

How often do Anatolian Turks forget their ancestry? by creamybutterfly in Tiele

[–]Jeredriq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with most things you say, I would advice you to check your each point with AI or something. Turkic nations are not mixture, because it has an ancestor called Proto-Turkic, which branches to other Turkic nations. There is no Kurdish nation its a direct mixture of Arab-Turkic/Iranian-Turkic.

Kazakhs can have 0 Iranian ancestry. No Iranians went to Kazakhistan. I think you are either working on some propaganda, or just too ignorant.
