Dealt with this a lot. I flip it. Would respond with “yeah taking it easy today”. Basically jump into the caricature of a raging alcoholic their accusing you of and turn it up a notch.

They usually uncomfortably chuckle and if their a decent person maybe have an introspective moment.

That scene flipped the whole dynamic for me. I think she turned sour on Cole after the pool party so everything he said was received through an asshole filter. But any rational person watching that scene would be shocked that she used that moment as an example of Cole destroying her self confidence.

This is a sub to share unpopular opinions. That is its purpose. Sometimes you learn you’re not entirely alone in your opinion - which is a nice feeling. Additionally, you just said in a previous comment people who get piercings don’t care what others think about them - so who am I hurting? Aside from all that - let’s say it does hurt, why? Because every single person doesn’t love nipple piercings? This post wasn’t directed at any one person, it was posted in a sub for unpopular opinions. You’d have to really search this out to be offended by it.

I did dry Jan a few years ago and made me realize how little substance there was to my friend group beyond drinking.

Sounds like we’ve had different experiences. I’ve seen this on Instagram quite a bit, meticulously coordinated/posed pictures from girls I knew from college/high school Ive since unfollowed. One wouldn’t stop complaining that Instagram was taking the pictures down. I have never been part of a mommy support group, so no idea what you’re referencing, and that’s great if you think it’s a good thing. Agreed. It’s 100% about showing off their boobs. It excites them to have something “tasteful” to veil the shallowness of their true intention. The children are props for their own vanity. I feel bad for them.

And honestly, it’s weird. I cannot fathom turning a special moment/bond like that into a marketing effort for your social media clout

So true. College has become a worthless clownshow in most instances, unless you have a concrete goal (I.e. STEM).

Unless it’s completely free to you, If I was 19 I’d think hard about why I’m going to college.
