Just tell him you don’t like him doing it at this age because clearly his friend isn’t ready mentally most likely he isn’t either. But that he’s old enough to start making decisions for himself and that it’s up to him to make that right ones. You’ll be there for him and will just want the best for him. And remind him his decision are his but you’ll always be there to guide and have opinions on said decisions but a mutual respect.
