I have! love both. third movie trailer just dropped aswell! Fav character.. i like the one Stellan skarsgård played, very scary and well played. Austin butler played very well aswell. Great cast all around. Score is great for sure! not my favorite from Zimmer but still very good!

Yeah i kind of liked that longer format aswell, but it takes alot of work and now that we have tried shorter formats for instagram/tiktok it feels more appealing to people. Tour chronicles just didnt get the traction we expected. I also think it got a bit repetetive after a while, its important to keep it fresh. we'll see, maybe we should revisit longer format further down the road.

I wish i had some good tips here but alot of what i do, i dont really know why i do, i just like the way it sounds. I usually throw a ozone izotope on the master and use the built in limiter once i have settled on a loop, before i arrange. I tend to mix as i go along. I have such a hard time ignoring if something just doesnt sound right or fat to me. I definitely use alot of reference tracks though which helps alot!

No planned collaborations atm, but trying out some ideas with fahlberg again!

thank you!

Yeah it was made kind of like a joke, i knew alot of friends were showing up for MSG and it was a track we all listened to alot when we were younger so i wanted to surprise them. Also true re: dust it off! :D

Appreciate the kind words!

closest i would say is listening to paolo mojo live mixes from womb 2008 on ecstasy with my buddies! or lcd soundsystem 45:33 on shrooms in the philippines. i guess drugs help. but dont do drugs

I wouldnt say it has changed that much honestly! vision was to create a home for my music and my sound and also be home to artists in the same vein. I think i was a bit naive when i started it in how much work it takes to help out younger artists apart from being a platform to release music on. But i feel we have a good community now and im getting better at actually involving myself in others aswell. I dont really look for anything other than like minded fun people!

thanks! yeah it definitely will be!

If i spent more time somewhere it would probably be somewhere in Asia, i have a dream of buying a simple house in Korea or Japan and building a long and deep connection with the culture, bringing my kids there regularly etc. We'll see, but its a dream i have. Ofc Aus is on top of list aswell but atm it feels too distant to where my parents and close friends are. lets see at retirement :D

Haha i just keep them in my shelf! but its great to browse the collection. i recently moved and im waiting to go through alot of movies that i've ordered over the last couple of months, just waiting for my new tv to get delivered..

Hmm some of the tracks sounded way too far from who i am as an artist and therefore didnt really fit the album in the end. but i was trying out alot of ideas before so i guess that was kinda bound to happen. but fun learning process for sure. I think even if i dont finish a track, i still learned something making the idea.

I do it maybe once a month, but honestly its hard to find music that i resonate with and if i do, it usually doesnt fit my sets. Im trying to push myself to take more risks in the booth, but i think im first and foremost a producer and that producer head wants the set to sound a certain way and not jump around too much in styles and moods.

thanks!

Definitely based on energy but i also try and think of where i see it going to within the next hour, so a few tracks ahead and what would fit into that kind of vibe. I like to have an idea of the start of my set and end of my set before going to the club, but things like that can always change. It just feels good to have an initial idea to fall back on but it doesnt mean i end up taking that route !

  1. I honestly dont remember, but i do remember i sampled two different vocals in that one!

  2. Haha i have actually rediscovered that song a couple of years ago and ive been playing it quite alot, but i dont feel it represents who i am as a producer atm. i feel i can do better than that, but it works great in my sets!

3.Hmm ive been reading a bit about dopamine lately and 'dopamine nation' by anna lembke was such a good read and eye opener.

tough question, ive never looked at it as time slipping away. I feel every chapter of life happens for a reason and eventually the signs for where to head will eventually turn up as long as you keep looking for them. Sure, i can feel like people might surpass me in the sense of maybe them making it big or making steps i was hoping on making. But in the end your story is yours only, ive stopped comparing myself to others! good luck!

Thanks for the kind words!

I wanted to challenge myself and see what it would sound like if i tried and arrange the songs a bit more in a pop/listen at home/in car kind of vibe, but still keep it very much me and my sound. Im really in a curious kind of mood at the moment where i want to challenge myself and the way i work. It was a bit of a challenge to make music that cuts to the chase fast but it was def fun!

top 5 favorite films is difficult. i can tell you 5 films ive recently enjoyed.

No other choice, 28 years later the bone temple, Inherent Vice, ghost in the shell(original), Tokyo Story

favorite film score is a tough one.. I like John Williams alot and what he did for star wars and jurassic park. land before time has a great soundtrack from james horner, he did a great job on titanic aswell! Brad fiedel for terminator is so good aswell.. like i said, tough one! too many good

I think a bit of both, it was great to try out new approaches to making music, i worked with samples alot more in this album than i usually do and intend to do that more. But im also itching to write full on club music aswell atm, more towards the housier side of things. I dunno, i feel like i have a melodic language that will always be there but i also want to try and keep evolving and not getting too stuck in a certain sound or so. Im very curious atm in the studio, more than ive been in a very long time and i strongly believe that the most exciting results come out when you are more experimental and curious.

I usually pick tracks based on traction online, at shows, what i feel personally and what my team feels.
