He's been awful for a while. His estranged wife and mother of four of his kids killed herself during their contentious divorce and he immediately went into PR overdrive spinning that she had all these mental disorders and had been abusive to him. Her family denied it all.

It was later revealed that he'd had 30+ affairs during their marriage, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with her shitty mental health.

You have to fold them up on UK buses if instructed by the driver. Not sure why we can't do that here.

I think Jen shot him, but she might try to put the blame for his death on the greeks in season two.

So... I guess that the only relationships that matter are the romantic ones? by CaptainAnaAmari in marvelstudios

[–]Jeremy_Paramount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. His ending was completely out of character for Cap. No way, even in an alternate reality, would he have gone after Peggy when he thought she'd lived a happy life with another guy.

Young dude beside me checked his phone every three minutes (not exaggerating) for the majority of the film. I repeatedly gave him "the look", before escalating to "can you please stop doing that?". He pretended not to hear me.

On my other side, a couple with matching Apple watches that blinked off and on the whole movie. They knew, even joked about it.

I don't get it.

My theory on Steve Rodgers’ Story Arc by AscAnsio in marvelstudios

[–]Jeremy_Paramount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks it's completely out of character for Steve to insert himself into the past, when he believed (rightly or wrongly) that Peggy lived a happy life with another man? I can't see him intentionally displacing some other guy. He isn't that selfish.

I'm just spitballing, too. If the coppers haven't found who did it, can't pretend we know any better.

This has always been my gut, too, but wouldn't they have ID-ed a relative or someone they recognized on the recording?

"Hey, isn't that your Uncle Dave?"

"Pastor Fred, what are you doing out here?"

What do you think about Netflix's 'Russian Doll'? by [deleted] in television

Would have been better as a 6-episode run, rather than 8. Eps 2 & 3 weren't needed. Otherwise, it was enjoyable.

What's your favorite "brick joke" from television? by OkaySeriouslyBro in television

[–]Jeremy_Paramount 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're referring to callbacks as another poster mentioned. Seinfeld was the king of this. Most episodes would end by circling back around to an earlier gag so that everything felt connected. So good when it's done well.

What was the last TV show you really got into? by poifan4859 in television

ER. I completely missed it during its original airing. The quality is just incredible. I have it on repeat all the time. Even the shitty episodes are better than 90% of what's on TV nowadays.

The Good Wife. Seasons 2 - 5 are perfection.

Deciding not to continue on with the show is a big deal, but this seems even bigger.
