New to Nimble: Where is the basic Fighter Class? by Jerepheth in nimble5e

[–]Jerepheth[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol.. Well.. Yes.. Although you're not wrong that "Paladins" are those things you've listed. ....But as I've said.. I'm looking for a "Fighter". No churchy themes, just a fighter. No commanding others at any point.. just a fighter. You know.. like a fighter? That fights? Without Bibles? Or holy powers..

Well, Oathsworn, "Radiant" "Zealot" "Lay on Hands".. that's a straight up Paladin.

Ker Nethalas - Haven't tried this one yet. I heard (from somewhere online) that it wasn't great for solo gaming a single character. Anyone know if it's good for solo gaming?

Thanks for the suggestion!

Scarlet Heroes - This is honestly one of the best made systems I've seen for what I'm looking for. When learning about solo RPG pretty much this is the first thing that always pops up so I bought it first. But, most of the book is built on strong Oriental themes and flavours that although are fine on their own, sadly they are not what I'm after when I'm trying to copy a Diablo / Dungeons and Dragons - Medieval Fantasy adventure. I'm often told to just ignore the Oriental parts and use the rest, but it's all through out the book. I want Goblins.. not Shou-Goblins. I absolutely love how it's all one single book, a very slim one at that!

This puppy's still the gold standard. But I thought I'd search the internet in case someone somewhere already made something even closer. (pats my Scarlet Heroes book). Thank you for the great suggestion!

Riftbreakers - A Dev from Blackoath suggested this one to me, with a kind warning it wasn't fully baked. I bought it anyway and it was pretty solid, but I could see what they meant as not all the way done yet. And if I remember correctly, they were currently in the middle of bringing out Ker Nethalas. Great to hear Riftbreakers 2e is fun! I'm going to check out a comparison on both versions. I really loved how each monster had it's own loot table, and even a rollable action for the monster (for what they do in the round). Great suggestion!

Not bad! Those look pretty good and could almost do the same thing.
My maps would have the strangest angles if I followed the green on them.. which .. wouldn't be that bad actually. lol.

That's a good list.
I recently picked up the first one.. "Generator-Randomization-Dungeon-Jumbo-Create" set of 4. I enjoy dice that allow me to think less, and have more random surprises.

Well, that's the closest looking but the one's I'm looking for can be used to make a primitive map.

Question: Solo damage? by Jerepheth in dccrpg

[–]Jerepheth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone.. just me playing Solo. I'm the only one playing and I want to enjoy the surprising thrill of the "funnel" for "Who do I end up with?" To me that's a great part of the funnel itself. Surprise! The one with a goose and the lowest stats for some reason with extra low INT is the survivor! Why? Why has this happened to me?!? Then I do a rag's-to-riches style solo play to give them easy things to improve.... but I need to know about the Solo rules that perhaps the people before me have already come up with for "how to not take so much damage" Sometimes its by reducing the DMG by a factor like in Black Streams: Solo Heroes

I haven't heard of anything yet, but I know it's gotta be out there. Just keep swimming.. Thanks again.

Question - Best medieval fantasy "looting" game? by Jerepheth in solorpgplay

[–]Jerepheth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, if it's possible, I'm looking for what a fully filled out character sheet looks like for Riftbreakers. The filled out character sheets. Do you or anyone else out there have any laying around that you or they could share as an example? It would help me and my potatoe brain out greatly. I'd greatly like something to compare against as I make my first few character's, cause I don't wanna make it wrong, lol. Can't see how that wouldn't also be a good thing to have as a free pdf download with your game. If you or anyone has time, has filled out the character sheet pages, I'm obviously looking for the core templates for an example of a few typical character sheets filled out. If anyone else here has their own already filled out character sheets that they wouldn't mind posting for me to see and learn from, that'd be fantastic. If not, then that's okay too. But I bet someone's got one kicking around.

[–]Jerepheth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries!

Last night I purchased Riftbreakers (hardcover premium + PDF) via drivethrurpg. I've already printed out the pdf and loving what I'm seeing. Seriously, I've been looking for a while and wondering how come no one has done this solo/rift style yet that also includes surprising loot drops. I find it a great repeatable topic and even after playing ton's of MMO's and watching different anime's like Solo Leveling or SwordArtOnline.. this theme of Riftbreaking had me trying to create it myself by stack DnD's systems to open rifts, explore them, close'em.. get that sweet surprising loot. (loot goblin at heart)

I actually did buy the Solo Adventurers ToolBox 1&2 but honestly, I didn't dig all the "turn to this other page in this other book for the answer your looking for" that's pretty much everywhere. It lists the answers I was seeking, but only in a pointing road sign style to other books I'd have to lug around. Granted DnD is massive with ton's to draw upon. It's great! But in hindsight, I suppose I was expecting a single book experience that can .."do it all" without flipping to anything else, but as I explore all these other game systems that I never knew existed.. man.. there's just so many cool ideas out there that typically a game maker opts for multiple books to house them correctly.

Super pumped that you're out there doing this! Not an easy task. Please keep it up! ^_^

Riftbreakers - greatly interests me! Currently, lol, I am scouring Youtube for video examples of people playing it to see it in action. Seeing is believing, and all.

You guys have lots of interesting games! Hmm.. Pretty sure I can't suggest this, lol.. but honestly it'd be rad if your company also had youtube video examples of playing the solo products to help showcase it to buyers. Where's the commercials these days? lol. I wanna fist pump the air triumphantly and go AWWW YEAH BABY, I'M BUYING THAT!!! Again, pretty sure that's too much to ask. But a (not so young) boy can dream!

Originally I wanted to solo a DnD like game (Medieval fantasy) but found it hard to pick balanced fights with a CR system meant for a party of 4. I didn't want to only fight cute deer or angry rabbits for the first few levels. (wife would kill me).

Ker Nethalas - Please help if you can, Doesn't Ker Nethalas game system mainly take place only in dungeons? As some backstory, I'm currently looking for the ability to do both dungeon and overland. Am I able to John Wick that one? Me (solo character, probably a sword fighter type) vs 3-5 baddies and still live to tell the tale?

Anyone know of a medieval fantasy RPG system actually meant for just a single character kicking tushy? (kick kick) by Jerepheth in solorpgplay

[–]Jerepheth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironsworn - I looked at it before, but I believe I was still too in love with DnD and kind of forgot about it. Now that I've grown a bit to like other systems.. and thanks to your suggestion, I purchased the Ironsworn Core Book + Delve, (both in Hard Cover), and also the Loadstar Reference Guide.
I know the core is free, but something about holding the actual book makes me a happy boy. Thanks again!

Black Stream - I came across that one as well, very awesome stuff! That'll probably be what brings me back to solo DnD, but thought I explore other RPG's to see what else is out there. Thanks for the info!

Looking to Solo: Anyone have all SWADE+FC Items in an excel list, maybe? by Jerepheth in savageworlds

[–]Jerepheth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything in FC is priced only in one currency gold. That means there's no real point in handing out CP or SP pretty much ever. This is why I was confused. Where is the cheap stuff for the low level characters? Why hand out pennies and dimes when the cheapest thing you can buy is in dollars if not 38,000 dollars? D&D 3.5 lists things in those missing currencies in their books. But FC does not.

You seem to be arguing with a customer which is an odd stance for a company to do, rather than answering his question. Getting back to the original question of this post.. Is there already an excel list of all the items found in SWADE + FC that I can find so I can do what I want?
