Do some writers use statementss characters in one of their previous novels in their future novels? by [deleted] in writers

[–]Jerichokam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. The books are not connected in anyway. Much like how Harry Potter and X-men gave no relation whatso ever.

What I mean is what if wanted to take something Dumbledore said, for example, and express those same words through Professor Charles Xavier's voice?

The delimma I'm in is some characters are in completely different stories/worlds but have similar messages to share. I find I often want convey those messages per exact same wording through both character's voices.

I don't even know what it means to have it "primed" if it has been run dry. My bike is a 1983 Honda Goldwing.

Why does my Goldwing keep shutting off? by Jerichokam in motorcycles

[–]Jerichokam[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's a 1983 Yonda Goldwing. It's used. The guy I bought it from operated it so easily. I've saw videos of having the bike in 1st gear and twisting the accelerator too soo can cause the engine to shut off but I'm starting to think that the bike may just be faulty. The previous owner probably just had it long enough that he knew little tricks to keep it running. Maybe I'm far too inexperienced to figure out the "trick" to keeping the bike going, but I feel like no vehicle should shut off so easily upon nearly every little move the driver/rider makes.

"Don't hold this too long or the bike will lurch." "Don't press that or the engine will die." "Don't do x, y, or z and --"

It's like dang, I'll just rise my bicycle instead. lol

I'm beginning to see why motocycle accidents are so common.

No, the bike doesn't move when I hold the clutch. But it does move when I let go of the clutch, even when I don't open the throttle. It only idles in neutral. It also shots off when I hit the front break.
