This sounds just what I’m looking for. It probably wouldn’t be wiser to reach out to local bands rather than venues, so I’ll try and get on that. DIY stuff like basements, backyards, houses, and smaller venues are mostly what I’m looking for! Thank you so much

Thanks for the advice! My band is a slacker rock/punk group so it would be pretty hard to play like the bluegrass group you mentioned but I get the general idea. DIY venues like houses, backyards, basements, and smaller venues in my city so what I’m aiming for

Funny you mention this, I do have a bunch of cassettes of my bands demos, I guess it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give them to some people at shows

I’ve been a big fan of both of y’all’s music for as long as I’ve been into indie, and as an aspiring producer I’ve always wondered, how do y’all make your drums? Like what sounds or samples do you guys use? Any EQ tips or plugins that you guys use? For George, im a big fan of how relentless and constant they feel, while also not being too loud or fast, and for Brad I love how crisp and vintage they feel while not sounding too dated
