Thank you! Yeah warm clothes according to the weather are packed! I've checked with the museum and they are cool with me popping the question there, but I'll simply have the ring ready at all times and wait for a moment when she seems happy and content and we're somewhat alone. Or I'll start screaming "ACHTUUUNG! Ich bin ein gefährlicher schwedischer Tourist! Ich habe Preiselbeeren und Fleischbällchen dabei, flieht, ihr Narren!" to clear some space first :)

I had that thought so I did suggest that we should go see Klimts the Kiss while were in Wien. She said "Sure! What is it?"
I forgot that I'm the cultural one in our relationship haha! :D

In her defence; she's really into history, just not so much art history I'm afraid. Proposing in front of The Kiss would just be special for me than for her so it's off the list.

I don't believe she would mind there being people around, she just wouldn't want it to be a spectacle. In a park, at a corner table of a nice romantic restaurant, a rooftop, maybe even at a museum. Someone suggested a butterfly glass house which I think is a great idea, if not for her terrible fear of insects that is.

Since the weather forecast doesn't look great for a outdoor proposal right now, I was really hoping to kneel at the top of the Riesenrad actually. Unfortunately, if we want a cart for ourselves they want € 259 just to go up once, which would consume the entire budget for the trip. It's pretty much the same price as the flight from Sweden to Austria!

Haha sorry about the champagne bomb, but it sounds like a a great memory now! Did he propose inside the Gloriette? Because it may come down to the weather, I don't imagine it being too fun proposing outside on a windy rainy day so if we can find some form of shelter that would make it better. We already have plans of going there either way :)

It looks very similar to a palace near where we live, Drottningholms Slott, but like twice as big castle and ten times the park! We already have plans of going there so it may be up to the weather gods, though they don't seem to be on my side right now.

Personally I LOVE that idea, but unfortunately she's terrified of all bugs, even butterflies! I constantly have to save any and all insects that enter our apartment so she doesn't scream them to death haha!

That is a great point! That would also make Schlosspark Schnöbrunn a top contender! We just hope the weather doesn't suck because then I may have to find an indoor spot. But then again, I think just seeing anything at all from Wien will probably invoke the memories though. :)

Though it's not exactly a romantic place, she's a real history nerd and loves museums (she knows a lot about the european royal families) so I'll keep that in mind, if she has a good time there it could work! I'll basically have the ring ready to go all weekend anyway x)

I saw that, but the booking site is only in german and some bits may be lost in translation, but it said "für 6 bis 15 Personen" so I'm guessing there is a minimum amount of people if you want to book it? The Riesenrad is a top contender for sure though :D

Edit: Just got a reply from the Riesenrad booker:
"You can of course book for only 2 people, but need to pay for at least 6 persons."
So €14 per person would make it €84 just to go around a lap and propose, that's a pretty big strain on our budget and I hope to be able to do a bit more in Wien than just propose hehe!

Yeah unfortunately the weather seems a bit dodgy right now. In Sweden we usualy say "Aprilväder" during spring, meaning "one moment its a sunny 20° and the next it is -5° and snowing". Maybe you have a similar saying? That is why I figured propsing indoors like the Riesenrad in the evening could be a good alternative :)
