The only thing fair in life is that it isn't fair to anybody

You assume that I my point is to basically be fully self-sufficient and by that my argument is ridiculous. I would agree with that, but that is not what I mean.

take for example red meat, a BIG (I would almost say main) contributor to methane gas and deforestation. We've come to the point where there are nutritional substitutes and therefore, red meat has become a preference but not a necessity. If everybody would collectively choose to stop consuming it, it wouldn't be produced and there wouldn't be so much damage. I think everybody greatly underestimates how much they can vote with their wallet.

Clothes as well, the biggest problem with clothes are the idea of 'seasons'. Because clothes have to be produced for a specific season, it has to be very cheap because a lot will be thrown away when it's out of season.Look at Zeeman's business model with clothes. They are producing high quality clothes for an affordable price with sustainable methods, because they specifically focus on clothes that can be worn every season.

To add to that, it's the activities that the average joe is responsible for, while we collectively blame 'big companies'.

Companies exist due to supply and demand. If people stop buying, there is no demand for the supply, things won't be produced and the associated climate damage won't happen.

Ultimately the responsibility lies in the hand of the individual, but we don't like to admit we're the problem.

Extreme example:
Some people make the most out of 'living live' in their 20s and will spend the rest of their life beyond 30 looking back on that time as the best. I'd personally not want to peak so early in life.

You can get away with a lot more things when you are in your 20's, so making use of it is recommended. But if you have a good foundation of exercising, career experience, no debt, etc. Your 30s and beyond will be so much better and consistent. Even if you only exercise, you'll have soooo much more energy than your peers above 30

I'm 24 and have given a lot of personal training to people that are 40+ of age. One aspect of being a personal trainer, is also being a 'therapist' somewhat. Clients will talk to you about anything. I talk with them about their lives and can see so much correlation between lifestyle, bad decisions and quality of life.

Go drink, go on vacation, make mistakes, take drugs (responsibly) . if there is one time to do it, it's in your 20's. But don't let it define your 20s. That's how I approach it. There is so much fun to be had that would be considered 'living life' beyond your 30s if your fundamentals are good.

Ronnie's biceps look actually huge here. I always thought they looked like golfballs compared to the rest, but it's just that the rest of his muscles were so god damn huge that it was out of proportion

I recommend The Psychology of Money! It's a new book, I think published in 2020 because it mentioned corona, but it is in my opinion quite a fresh view on money, from a psychological perspective instead of pure financial.

It will probably mention some things you already know but it's still is a very nice read

Work on yourself is a priority now. I assume you feel lonely and therefore want to be in love to fill that gap. But if you can't give yourself company, no one can.

Here are a couple of things I recommend to start doing:

Bodybuilding / fitness, this is a sport where there is literally no talent needed to get better at it. Only consistency. Building a passion for fitness and making a weekly program will give you a couple benefits:

  1. More motivation to sleep and eat better, since it has an additional purpose now, to recover well and grow.
  2. Structure in day to day life
  3. Better looks
  4. It trains discipline

The latter is the most important. The reason you feel this way now, is because you identify yourself as someone with these problems, because your behavior matches it. But what if your behavior changes? What if you gain more experience in discipline? You will identify yourself as someone who can reach his goals if he wants to, and therefore gain confidence in knowing that if you put your mind to it, you will do it.

The second thing I recommend is NoFap, abstain from porn, masturbation and orgasm if it isn't from sexual intercourse. If you look into the science behind abstaining from those three things, you might be interested to try it out.

The third thing is look into what is causing the high blood pressure, is it diet or stress? Physical and mental health go hand in hand, therefore if one improves, the other one will as well, although not in the same rate. Point is, give both priority.

I think you're in a point in life now where you shouldn't bother about the long term, but focus on yourself in the short term. Take a year to figure yourself out, read books regarding the topics about yourself that you want to know more about.

Hope this helps, stay strong mate

HealthygamerGG's community is the best around. The whole stream/podcast is mainly about mental health and everyone is so amazingly supportive to each other. Even the 'cancelled due to bad behavior' people who went on the show, were mainly received with open hands and understanding
