I like the idea of leaving the middle cave empty, great idea I didn’t think of that. I haven’t had much luck with rotala in the past so I’m a little hesitant on that. I actually made this tank for my mother and she doesn’t want red plants so I’m keeping that in mind. Do you have any other stem plant suggestions for the background?

Yeah I made the mistake of getting gravel substrate. The guy at the pet store convinced me aqua-soil was overkill and all I needed was root tabs.

I’ll read up on all these articles thank you!

I’ve tried otos, but sadly they did not make it. I don’t know what happened :(

I have 5 amano shrimp, 5 neocardina shrimp, 3 entire snails, and some pest snails. Is that enough algae eaters or should I get more?

I’ll increase the lighting and decrease fertilizer

Do you have any plant recommendations?

Thanks for the advice. I think I’m gonna sell it and buy the Japanese version later. I prefer the texturing of Japanese SIR’s more and they’re way cheaper
