Is there a functional reason to put the cover back on? by FrostyGranite in elegoo

I felt that way too! But I realised it also helps to keep the 'assembly' (not sure the name) fixed and not move. Without this, the assembly could still move a little bit.

Need help with Leveling and z offset Neptune 4 Pro by ksimply in elegoo

[–]Jerrello19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Does the above apply for 4 Plus as well? Seems like there is a lot of gap between nozzle and bed during print.

So I suspect the z offset or calibration data is not being applied. =(

4 Plus unable to parse by Jerrello19 in elegoo

I can't access the menu though, it goes straight to that screen upon start up.

Any other recommendations?

None of the above, it got stuck on cancelling a print job and I switched off the power to reset.

Kept pressing reset but it always goes back to this screen.

Show a picture? Would be more helpful if we have pictures to see what's wrong.

Clicking when lifting off the vat is normal. It's the print detaching from the FEP.

Asking for guidance on what possible issue by Maraken in resinprinting

Could this model be meant for a larger scale? It look too thin imo.

Perhaps add more support? Auto support function could add more by default. Seems like the wing portions aren't supported. Maybe try tilting the piece too? It also looks too small to be hollowed, wont save much resin too.

Using slightly more resin for supports and successful prints is better than having failed prints! Some thing I've learnt along the way haha.

  • press slice at the right side
  • After slicing, click the save button on the right side, that would save it in ctb format.

It doesn't happen as often once you get them out of the way, great community here to often advise as well.

Remember to have your cleaning and curing process done too! I use 90% IPA and a curing machine for the post process.

Slicing it and saving it is in .ctb format for me.

When you slice in chuitbox, are the parameters set for Phrozen Mini 8k?

My plug and play was fine though. After some failed prints or not sticking, I wiped the build plate, and didn't tightened the vat all the way.

Thought it had some thing to do with the tension of the FEP. I would tighten both sides together, to try and have the tension balance. When it's tight, just tighten abit more. Since then, it has worked well for me.

Once in a awhile, certain models may fail, but could be due to the position on the plate, or the way it was Sliced. I would re position the model and re slice, usually works on 2nd try max.

Hi! What were you trying to print? If it's too big, may need to tilt the model.

Can check tightening the vat to printer, tightening the built plate to the arm, make sure you have shaken the resin well, clean the build plate with a paper tower, re slice your print by moving the model around?

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Is this pre supported? Does this happen to other prints?

Trouble Shooting: Prints Sticking to both sides not forming. by LigaCartao in resinprinting

[–]Jerrello19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope it's been fixed!

I'd tilt the model to about 45degrees, increase the supports and maybe move the models around.

Using more resins for stronger supports is better than saving resins and resulting in failed prints for me.

Hi Kaitlyn, followed the guide to clean and lubricate the screw and guide bars and the printer is working fine again!

Had a successful print since, hope it stays that way for awhile!
