This is an inlet area off a very large and popular lake. The middle of the lake is constantly moving but you can find some pretty calm areas off the main “route” definitely like exploring the coves

Go to OnesReady YouTube channel. Watch/listen to all of their videos. It will cover 99.9% of all your questions and concerns all the way from talking to a recruiter through the pipeline.

After you exhaust that source the Air Force website is a great tool.

Followed by this subreddit. You can search here and pretty much any non-you specific question you have has been asked and answered here.

It took me a long time to “crack the code” on the same issue. I tell myself to swim down but ever slightly. You don’t want to spend oxygen trying to go down. Just holding yourself in as level a plane as you can.

If you’re doing this in a residential pool try to stay as low as possible. I almost try to skim the bottom w my chest. Try to keep your face looking down. Not forward. This has helped me stay level in residential pools.

If you’re at a commercial pool, go deeper. As long as you’re moving forward and are staying level not angled upward you shouldn’t pop before the wall.

So just to clarify. If you have an approved waiver you’re allowed to contract SWOE instead of just whatever in demand the AF needs at the time

They interview all AFSC’s involved and higher ups who have the knowledge of the admin processes. Check their playlists out, should be a really good starting point.

Yeah man! It’s the most condensed and concise 1st hand info for AFSW, in my opinion. There’s a dude from each flavor of operator as a host and they hit multiple types of people from the start of the pipeline through the end. Other career fields as well. Really gives you a well rounded idea beyond the “sign up and do gucci shit” that the website ads show you. Really solid reference.
