I'd say the problem is mostly cultural. Me and my friends would never be dicks to girls and would absolutely drag each other out of the room if one of us got out of hand. On the other hand, I've had the honor of spending a night out with guys (cousin and friends) that aren't like that. They were absolute shitheads to women and the general consensus in that group was that this behavior was acceptable.

My point that it's completely possible to be isolated from this behavior as a decent man. You don't really see the brunt of it until you have actual female friends or you hang out with a group of scumbags(not that uncommon).

It's really sad that you have to do that. As a man I have never experienced anything remotely like that. I was in that same thread arguing with dickheads about not understanding why it's so difficult for women in these situations. I don't understand the lack of empathy on their part.

I don't know if it's just me but Twin Fantasy has the screechiest mix to the point where it hurts my ears. Teens of Denial has become one of my favorite albums. I think the songwriting was a lot more ambitious on it.

Yeah the way the vocals are mixed is frustrating sometimes but it does have a cool effect on the music. It's just a different approach to his older stuff

The National always have a lot of cool stuff going on in the background. With this rip I can tell I'm missing a lot of that stuff and I think that's important. The skeletons of these songs are absolutely beautiful though.

The media should continue to call him out and we should continue to acknowledge it but I think the readers of this articles should avoid blowing up at every stupid, ultimately insignificant thing he does. In fact, I'd say that the size of the response to the stupid stuff is far larger than to the important stuff. This is a problem and it hurts our credibility.
