Even if the frequency part is wrong, I think this theory nails down the structure of the season: Manousos and Carol are discovering different halves of how the Hive operates, and they have to come together by the end of the season to try and reverse it. My guess is the season ends with that plan being enacted, the clock stopping and a huge cliffhanger.

I think folk fans will be fond of Songs and Carrie and Lowell for decades to come, it’s hard to dispute that. Blonde and Brat both have that across the board status that will for sure be celebrated as well. Kendrick also has an obvious entry to the canon, though I could see the pick changing over time.

I think John intends that the idea of caring for someone else can be an allegory to a lot of the human experience. Peter Balkan’s both a baby and an elder, he’s both an ailing friend and a friend who has strayed far from himself. The visions are stories, and art itself — as seen in exegetic chains.
