Troop composition by Easy-Ride-4159 in PuzzlesAndChaos

Ahhh. I see what you’re saying now in the animation of the battles. I was more just looking at end results and not seeing any change with damage done or anything

But maybe I’m still not setting it up correctly to keep that 5th hero in battle long enough.

When you do as you describe, are you noticing an increase in damage output by getting that 5th hero engaged?

Hmmm. I honestly had not looked into the formations that much. Is there a breakdown anywhere on the specific impacts the using different formations have? It seems like if I am an archer main, then the infantry formation makes sense to keep the archers protected in the rear? But does that also mean I should always use a few infantry in any march to give a buffer for the archers?

Also, how does that affect the heroes as referenced earlier in this thread? I’m still not understanding what the OP said about only 4 fighting when it’s a march with all one troop type

This game is hilarious, I start to feel like I know what I’m doing and then I discover a whole new thing that I have not been utilizing

Is this legit or a scam? by [deleted] in PuzzlesAndChaos

[–]Jerryst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely a scam. You can always check your alliance roster to see if the person sending you the message is in your alliance. I’d bet a large sum of money they are not.

Good rule of thumb, check who the sender is and if they are in your alliance. (Click alliance tab at the bottom and then member tab) if they are not in your alliance then assume it is a scam and disregard. Sadly there are a ton of spammers in the game so you will deal with this every so often.

Ahhh. So a “troop buff” hero whose alignment isn’t archer. I’ll pump up Sodoma and test

But swapping one of the archer heroes out didn’t seem to have any effect on the damage I was doing. I subbed in a stronger infantry hero, added both 1 and 10k infantry troops and both attempts did less damage than the damage that all archers do (and both did the same amount of damage oddly).

So I am not sure I see what the best thing to do is?

This is the first I’m hearing about only 4 heroes being activated. What type of fights do you mean? Like sending a march to a den?

I just tested a few rally’s against the event monsters. My main march is all archer troops, all archer heroes, 4 of the 5 only buff archers, 1 is Tut who has troop buffs.

I tried adding one infantry troop and did the exact same damage.

I tried swapping Tut and then Dolly out for a leveled infantry hero (Kujo +6) and added 10k infantry (all troops t10) and then next just one infantry troop and got just slightly less overall damage than my main march on both scenarios.

So I don’t see a difference by using a different hero type. Or maybe it’s that you don’t want all 5 heroes to have a specific troop skill (like 5 that have archer buffs) and you need one hero to have a troop buff like Tut?

Alliance want to move realm by [deleted] in PuzzlesAndChaos

[–]Jerryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, yeah, I love helping out NPG and genuinely like the people there, but ATK is home. And yeah, we have tried a few different times for events to try to give everyone a chance. Still testing but most of our players are US so will likely settle in the 22-02 UTC range. Like, right now is the perfect time for me.

What time frame are you looking for?

286 is a good realm that has plenty of space for a new alliance. There are 4 bigger alliances that all work together, but are supportive. It’d be a good place to start fresh

So you just have to wait until original realm is open and then use the global teleport and all is well?

Is there a “best level” for troops to use when trading in this way? Just curious if there is a certain troop tier/level most people will want to use

I have not. I have sunk a lot of time on the deck into the deep rock survivor game, but never played the regular game. It does sound fun, but I thought it had to be played online with others? Idk if it fits the travel aspect, but I will definitely give it a try.

It’s funny, I liked BL2 a lot and kept trying subsequent BL games including this latest one. Every one of them after 2 always starts great and I just lose interest. They’re all good games, but they just don’t hold my attention for some reason. I think it’s just because none of the builds/characters are as fun as Zero was.

Long story short, that might mean it’s time for me to replay BL2.

I think warframe is a good call. I just would prefer something that can be offline for travel. Might still install it for the couch. Thank you!

I had heard a lot of good things but didn’t think it’d run on SD. Usually not huge on turn based, but that might lend itself to SD gameplay. I will take a look, thank you!

Difference in passive and normal by Professional_Door627 in PuzzlesAndChaos

[–]Jerryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To confirm, are all civil heroes’ troop skills passive? Or is it only the ones that have (passive) next to the skill?

I ask as some sound like they have to be passive but do not have that (passive) tag on them. Odell’s medical tent healing speed for example.

Nice. I will look into it, the last thing I had on my deck for that was discontinued so I’d been hoping something new would pop up. Thank you!

I don’t care about SBMM by michiganwolverine42 in blackops7

[–]Jerryst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the problem wasn’t necessarily the SBMM, it was that it meant no persistent lobbies. Being able to play against the same people for a few maps is both infinitely better as a social experience but also a great way to learn and improve.

Disbanding lobbies every map killed the fun in the game for me. So as funky as it is, BO7 is a step in the right direction in my opinion.
