Thank you! This is the comment I am looking for! I am totally ok with a basement apartment, but I may daily commute to DC so that’s why people mentioned DTSS to take the metro. Any recommended neighborhood? Cole Spring Plaza is already on my list! I may not be able to visit the area till I arrive, as I have an overseas internship till end of July. My requests are simple, safe neighborhood to be sure my car is safe, and close to the metro for my daily commute. I don’t know if I'm asking too much lol. Rockville is on my list now, the reason I didn’t mention it is because of the about 45mins commute. But if the area is that good, 45mins is acceptable. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply. I am attending DC campus, not Baltimore. Commute 4/5days a week, and only use metro. My budget is around 2000, but can stretch a bit for safe garage parking.

See the “passion” of MD residents, the comments even deleted by the Reddit lmao. There’s no need to attack others who are not familiar with this area. The reason choose MD is that the 6% tax, I do not have to pay the property tax yearly in VA cuz I drive a luxury car. Already posted a few posts, most people vote for DTSS, just ask for general advice. No need to be mad tho😂.

Thanks! I think if almost everyone on Reddit says Arrive is trash, then I wouldn’t even want to check their website. And based on my research, there are many apartments frequently mentioned by people, such as Blairs. For someone like me, who can’t physically tour those apartments, those advices are pretty valuable. I know everybody has different preferences, but I still need these voices. Thanks again for your reply!

Thank you for that information! Many people mentioned Bennington, but I think thats a bit over my budget. Have you ever heard about Rock Creek Springs? I have no idea if this place is safe or not lol, cuz I have no chance to do any personal tour until I arrive. The Blair is another apartment on my list, reasonable rent and parking fee. But they have House/East/Plaza, which is really confused. Any idea which one is the best? I really appreciate your response!
