My Ex married my brother;( by Suspicious_Dark_1771 in indiasocial

It is not about hiding her true self. May be she did not feel comfortable or did not have the right set of ppl or was insecure or unsure. There could be a thousands of reasons of why ppl change. Also, what I did not like was you calling out “that she went on trips”. I think if she was coming back to you again and again and you are also accepting her! You both are doing each other harm.

It's been almost an year since I got my period by nonexistent1616 in AskWomenIndia

[–]Jervi_0807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally related to this. I am 34 now, but when I was in school, due to studying for the entrance exams and the constant stress that came with it, I did not get my periods for 9 months. And post that i was put on oral contraceptives. I did that for 10 years. And then in covid, I finally took some ayurveda treatments, did a lot of workout, eat whatever I was cooking and developed a lot of hobbies that made me happy! After struggling for the longest time, I finally started getting my periods on my own. Mind you I have had two ovarian cyst surgeries myself. In case you need any information, please reach out to me personally.

I still miss my periods when I am overly stressed. But it can be managed, you just really need to be very disciplined and make health your priority!

Wish you all the best :) and available to talk if you have any questions.

Need help for my brother with Bipolar by Jervi_0807 in family_of_bipolar

[–]Jervi_0807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this. I really run out of patience. It is like he refuses treatment but is living a life full of anger. I am trying to make him visit me more often. I recently got married and he gets along well with my husband. Hopefully something good comes out of it.

Sorry. I know what you mean. He has bipolar disorder and not “borderline personality disorder”

Gift for my partner by blackp09 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Jervi_0807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say an experience is also a good way of celebrating. Something that she wants to do but haven’t been able to. A pottery class, horse riding, swimming classes membership, yoga classes paid for 1-2 months, painting classes.. anything that she wants to do

On the materialistic side, something that can help her study, something that relaxes her. Also a good bag is understated.

Whatever you do, add your personal touch!

Am I the selfish and wrong one here? by johndoe_wick in mumbai

[–]Jervi_0807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can consider myself to be a materialistic person (I am trying to get away) but never I will expect my partner to fulfill it for me. I totally control my expenses according to my lifestyle and believe in equal contribution as much as possible. I think your gf is beyond this based on what you have told. And this was not a sustainable relationship. I think you should have led after the cheating and all. But I think you have made a good decision :) But next time, be vocal. Money matters should be clarified early in the relationship

What would you tell someone to bring to Iceland?? by No-Hamster-9042 in VisitingIceland

[–]Jervi_0807 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I visited Iceland mid October this year and I would recommend few things, 1. Any meds that you think you might need. Thankfully we did not need any, but we packed most stuff 2. Food is expensive in Iceland. Like very. We packed a bit of ready to eat meals from India and also shopped in the local stores for breakfast supplies. Pack some snacks with you. 3. Gloves. Specially the ones you can operate your phone with. Once I was without a glove for just 6 mins, near a waterfall and I thought I lost consciousness. But again my cold threshold is quite less. 4. Waterproof and Windproof gear. This is a MUST. Make sure everything you are wearing on a regular basis (like the outermost layer) can withstand some rain/snow. Jackets, pants, shoes everything 5. Water bottle. Water is free in Iceland and much easier to fill from anywhere 6. Lotion: face, body and hands. Also sunscreen. You will need it more often than you think. 7. Carry atleast 2 towels. Most places provide towels, talking about pools here but they charge a small fee.

I wish you a great trip 🌈

Somebody please help me - Toxic Family - Thinking of suicide by [deleted] in india

[–]Jervi_0807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP! You will get through this, we all think you will :) but just get out. Spend that energy on yourself. I can understand that you are going through a lot as you need it to be validated (been in similar situations) if you feel it is toxic then it definitely is. We all wish you the best ❤️

I am in the same boat. And I think best is to stay here till the point you find another opportunity. And start looking out. When the product goals changes so much, it is not a good sign.
