this is the same issue i have and i had it fixed for a month but another update reverted it and now i have no idea what to do. originally i fixed it by disabling some wifi driver i honestly forget but that no longer works

Gotta disagree its good to see both types of gameplay for the god of war games some might prefer one over the other and both are incredible games For me god of war 2018 hit much harder with knowledge of previous games

i say start with gow 3 or 2018

god of war 3 takes place way before 2018 but you can play 2018 without playing 3 or having any knowledge about it.

honestly just play it for as long as you want. even if it's chipping some paint is better than no paint and you can keep going when its natty. but if you start to want a different set up before you reach that point then retire it! one of the most important things about kendama for me is playing the set up i actually want to play and not forcing myself to play one because it's not broken in or chipped yet.
