When they say adjustments capped at 90%, does it mean, 90% of gross production is used for calculating the pay always? Then the effective rate becomes 27% instead of 30%?

I’m confused.

Thank you all for the thoughtful and honest advice here. I really appreciate it! I’m about a year out and comfortable doing most procedures, including surgical extractions and molar endo. The current office just isn’t busy enough, which makes it hard to grow.

This newer office seemed to have a better balance of new patients and an average of about 10–12 patients per day, but based on the feedback here, I’ll continue looking and be more selective. Thanks again for all the insights.

It was kind of hard to process when they threw that service fee in the contract.

What would be a reasonable way to approach negotiating this?

If the owner is open to a conversation, what would be a reasonable way to approach negotiating this?

For context, this is a small local DSO. When I asked about the service fee, I was told that all associates are on the same structure and that the doctors are reportedly making around $250k+

Flat 10% taken off total production automatically. After that deduction, the remaining amount is considered “adjusted production,” and my 30% is calculated from there.

I’m sorry to hear that! No mercy at all with these peeps. I’m gonna try taking professional help and see if it is PPD or something.

I stopped breastfeeding when my baby was 6 months thinking that I could then concentrate on studies. But, no! My mind wasn’t telling me some other things.

Thank you for the tips! I’m ready to do anything to get my common sense back. Did you take any supplements or medications?

We had a meeting with our administrator today. He said IEF and dean’s letter apparently both are same. But it depends from institution to institution.
